  • WOW!!! :-)

  • So confident & in control in front of the camera; a complete natural.

When is this woman going to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame???

  • @kirko1954 She and Pia Zadora!

  • this video is wonderful

  • I Love Connie, but..I hate that blond crap in her pretty dark hair..What a turn-off..=(

  • @Elk999us I think she looks great here--she looked great whether blond or her natural brunette!

  • anyone know where i can get a backing track for this song?, i'd like to have a go at singing it.

  • Yowzers! It was amazing to see rare TV footage of my favorite Connie Francis tune! What an awesome talent she was...and still is! THANKS for sharing this delightful but rare gem with us! :)

  • Connie had so many pop hits that she doesn't get enough credit as a great swing singer. This is a good example along with her "Songs to a Swinging Band" and "Connie and Clyde" albums. If she'd been born a few years earlier, she could have been one of the all-time band singers, that voice can ride effortlessly over the biggest big band.

  • I totally agree. Connie never got the credit she deserved. She was Executive Producer of her recording sessions but never credited. She had a contract with MGM that was unheard of at the time. She had total control...where she recorded, what she recorded, the musicians, what got released...what got released. MGM even paid for all the gowns she wore for publicity photos, album covers, and she got to keep them afterwards. Not only a great singer, but she was a smart business woman!

  • She makes it look so easy, with power in reserve like at 1:40. Total control, pitch perfect, and she swings it for all it's worth. Watch that handclap at 1:05--"I own this song, get outta my way." Love the "wind would blow" ad lib, which isn't on the record.

  • Sorry, the handclap is closer to the 1:00 mark. BluesRob

  • Such a powerful, effortless voice. She can swing it, sing it, rock it! Now to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

  • The Late great Ray Condo did a great version of this too !

    Great Stuff !

  • you're welcome.
