dr inferno jr was by far my favorite . i fought battlebots in my driveway but never made it to compete i have only 2 robots left but they have been gutted for display . is the good doctor still around ?
@battlebots16. Howdy. Thanks for writing. What were your robots? The BBots toys, or did you design & build your own? I have the empty, beat-up, gutted bodies of Dr. Inferno Jr. & Towering Inferno in my garage. That's all I've got left of "the good old days!"
@infernolab i made my own robots i also had the battlebots toys i had a robot called " IT " it was a dome shaped robot very close to the ground with a spinning arm with hammers and gutter nails on them it destroyed every robot it came up against i also had one similar to the good dr i called it mr roboto it had a saw arm and a lance i made other robots with wedges and spinners
@infernolab i also made robots not ment for competition i had a 4 foot tall robot i just called it #4 it had one red eye sharp serrated metal teeth , a 2 finger claw and a bottle rocket launcher arm it was badass i kept it around for a long time i traded it off in 2007 i could not keep it anymore it took up too much room
@infernolab #4 also had innerchangeable arms it had a drill arm , a saw arm , and a full automatic M4 airsoft gun arm all i have left is tons and tons of pictures of it and one spare eye lense
@MrCoyoteToYou. Yup, there are several events per year in the USA. Look up the RFL (Robot Fighting League) forum on the Delphi Forums. The biggest event these days is RoboGames & the ComBots cup in the San Francisco area twice a year.
@helloface001 Like anything else, robot driving takes practice. Most builders don't have enough practice time, because they finish building their bots at the last minute. I played many video games, which probably helped my hand-eye coordination. -Jason
I gotta admit it, you guys at infernolab do a good job at what you do. Wish I could of watched you guys in action as a kid, but all i couldwatch was robot wars on the tech channel, Congrats though with that little personal machine of destruction.
Reason why Dr. Inferno Jr. is best pony-I mean, Battlebot.

@infernolab Thanks! I'm only in high school so the money/traveling/skill required to make a bot will be challenging, but I would love to try.

Very nice job on taking out afterburner. Dr Inferno Jr does not look heavily armored but you built a very well built machine. Great job :)

Jason, you are seriously the best bot driver ever. You just waited for the moment and then systematically took him out. So impressive.

The arm housing & gearbox were torn off--the motor remained, dangling by its wires.

I kind of expected that Dr. Inferno Jr. to lose his ENTIRE arm in here. XD I guess the motors for that arm was damaged huh?

Wow, you were very fortunate to escape with the win in this one. That arm got obliterated. Great job infernolab, a well deserved win indeed.

Finally we see why Dr Inferno Jr is missing his arm in a later match.
