@manfrom94 It's two guitars. You can play the intro on bass, but you have to play up past the 12th fret, therefore in guitar's pitch range, which means it can be and was played on a guitar.

How many times do i hav to say that theres a bass intro in this song for ppl to understand. Yes you can play with 2 guitars but thats not how RHCP plays it.

what i love about flea is that he never learnt to read music from the start, from what i gather the chili peppers' sound merely came from jam sessions and he just did fills to what sounded good at the time, then they worked on it till it was a completed product, threw some lyrics out there and thats their material, just goes to show you dont need to know the intricacies of music to be a legend, oh yeah, awesome cover bro , almost forgot the compliment :P
