We need renewable energy, yes. But we need practical bridges to those renewables, not just empty rhetoric. Natural Gas IS a practical bridge to a future focused on renewable energy. Demonizing natural gas would leave us reliant on coal and foreign oil/petroleum both worse for the environment AND our energy security. We need strict regulations to ensure that natural gas extraction does not produce detrimental effects, NOT demonization of the resource.
"We watch impassively as the wealthy and the elite, the huge corporations, rob us, ruin the environment, defraud consumers and taxpayers and create an exclusive American oligarchy that fuses wealth and political power. We watch passively because we believe we can enter the club ... It is greed that keeps us silent." - Chris Hedges
Love this cause and the education of hydraulic fracturing... but extremely disappointed in the consumption of plastic bottled water during this interview.

As long as we let them exchange our environment for money they will do it without regard to the future of this country.
