@shazzbot007 If you didn't hear in the first part, he was very nice at first. Most abusers are. Abusers tend to manipulate their victims in ways that aren't overtly cruel during the beginning of a relationship to avoid suspicion. Once there is some sort of commitment (a child and/or marriage), they stop holding back.
Many, if not most, victims are more or less controlled even before the "real" abuse starts. There may not have been a gun, but I bet she couldn't have said no.
Man, it must be nice to be a complete psycho asshole in the western world. You can rape, beat, and mutilate your wife and kids but they're still going to be the ones paying for it even after you're gone. What a gift. You get away with everything in this system. Sure, he died for it, but it's not like he didn't do whatever the fuck he wanted, consequence-free, while he was alive.
Wendy and her son's punsishment was not just AT ALL! So for people who say that "she did the crime she needs to pay the time" then please tell me why OJ got off scott free. Women are so much more mistreated in these kind of things. Something seriously needs to be done about our criminal justice system.
@margaret72721 She had to, because despite the damning evidence against them, she committed murder. Murder is still murder no matter which way you put it. It sucks that she has to be in prision, but it wasnt in "self defense." By saying that I mean, she attacked him when he was sleeping, and killed him, in cold blooded murder. It was planned. So despite the abuse, despite the fact that, that fucker deserved that and more, she still has to pay for her crime.
@xx3m0pr1nc3ssxx How is that not self-defense? Was she supposed to wait for him to hit her in the face again? Knock out the rest of her teeth? Maybe she should have waited until he did the same to one of her sons.
It may have been planned, but that doesn't mean it wasn't self-defense. She (probably) wouldn't have been able to defend herself if he had been awake. It only makes sense that she would wait until he was asleep if she wanted to save herself.
@eiramorrigan According to the law hun it isnt. He may have been abusive and violent towards her. But at the time this man was asleep, it was premeditated, and he was not attacking her at the time. Like i said that son of a bitch deserved it, and it was the best time for her to attack him and keep her life. But yet despite all, its technically not "self-defense."
@eiramorrigan "To be acquitted of any kind of physical harm-related crime (such as assault and battery and homicide) using the self-defense justification, one must prove legal provocation, meaning that one must prove that he was in a position in which not using self-defense would most likely lead to death or serious injuries. The threat of damage or loss of property alone is not enough." unfortunately, this dude was sleeping, and at the time abuse is only seen as a threat.
@eiramorrigan Im not saying it doesnt make sense. It makes perfect fucking sense. And I would have done the same thing in her shoes. But the sad part is, it cant be considered self defense because there was no actual abuse going on at the time. Just the threat of it. Lawfully, its not self defense. Thats all im saying.

She is so strong. She is such an inspiration. I'm not from an abusive household an I think that she could inspire anyone.

@shazzbot007 Yeah, because we all know exactly what a crazy abusive man looks like off the bat. SMH. Thats a pretty ignorant thing to say.

OMG he was a total monster. It is amazing to me that she has to serve time when all she did was save her and her children's lives.
