First of all, Awesome preformance! I own a Rocktron Banshee 2.... How do you make it talk? I can do cool effects by moving my mouth, but when you actually talk into it the thing does nothing and also it won't do anything unless your playing the guitar while your moving your mouth.

@emosk8er1323 i don't see y you wouldnt be able to the sound comes out of the end of the tube and u just move your mouth to modify the sound the tube would be attached next to the mic so your mouth is near the mic and the tube is still in your mouth the mic just amplifys the sound of the talk box coming out of your mouth so that everyone can hear it cause the other instruments would easily drown it out

Yup, if you play with it live or with a band, you're going to have to mic it. The talkbox output is about the same as the human voice, so it'll sound just fine.

I purchased the Talkbox over eBay, from the SLF Music store, which is an authorised Rocktron product retailer. In total it might have cost me around 200, including the shipping. I had to pay an extra 50 also, but hat's only because of Canadian customs.

It's a heavily modified washburn I modified myself. It retailed at around 800 stock. Not sure what model it is, but it says 'Washburn Chicago Series' on the headstock.

I'm not sure where you got this info Rharris, but I can assure you it's entirely fake. I've done alot of research on the product beforehand, and this is how it works:

A small amplifier is built into the talkbox, the sound is emitted through the tube, and into your mouth. From in there, the sound waves bounce back from your mouth to the outside, shaped by the pattern of your mouth. No electrical current, no brain damage. Simply echo-acoustic properties at work.

i don't get how a talk box works. are u using your voice box at all, or is it the strumming of the guitar and the movement of your tongue and lips that make it sound like words.

The amp's output sound goes through the tube and into your mouth, from there, the sound reflects back out of your mouth, and you use your throat and mouth to shape the reflecting sound, the same way you shape the air you breathe out while you speak. It's the same principle as talking, except you don't have to release any air, because the sound is already coming from the amplified box.

The talkbox is like a big foot pedal, about the size of 5 DVD boxes piles on top of each other, and roughly the same diameter. You simply plug your guitar into the input of the talkbox, as you would any pedal. The talkbox has a large tube exiting from the orifice on top, and you place this tube in your mouth. An amplifier built into the talkbox with send the sound into your mouth through the tube, where you shape the sounds with your mouth.
