The car you see in the video has been sold, but I have replaced it with one of our production versions with a Kawasaki ZZR1400 engine! Performance of the original car was close to that of a 1000cc bike & with the ZZR1400 is very similar - current car is lighter than the twin engined one. Biggest difference is you can't fall off a Furore F1!!! But I think the bikes a wee bit more nimble thro' the traffic! ;=)
@furoreruss The ZZR1400 has an awesome engine :) I live near the Brecon Beacons and see quite a few Lotus 7 type cars during the summer and some of those can give my bike a hard time I would imagine that the Furore Formula One would be more than a match for a bike on those types of roads ? I have to agree about bikes lol it bloody hurts sliding along the tarmac on your ass ;) please post more videos you have an awesome product.
Yes, on that type of road I would say it would be a close match. About the only thing that upsets the balance of the car are very rough surfaces & potholes (neither of which are much fun on a bike or in a 7 type car either!), undulating roads & bumps/dips aren't a problem the car is very predictable - I think the long wheelbase helps there.
Tried sliding down the road a couple of times many years ago - not an experience I want to repeat! LOL :)
bet the guy just bought a keteram kit can and modified the engine layout, and bought a F1 shell. don't get angry i'm just speculating as to how the car is legal in the uk, an how that guy isn't a real F1 car
Well, yeah! Uhh I mean it's so similar to the Caterham you can barely tell the difference! It was originally a FF2000 chassis, cut & lengthened by 0.7m, Pair of ZX10 engines in the back each driving one rear wheel. SVA tested in June '05 & on the road since then - all perfectly legal, taxed, insured & MoT'd! ;=) Just like a Caterham except does 0 - 60 in around 3 seconds! Bodywork is bespoke, but similar kit is now available from me to accept all Toyota MR2 Mk1parts.
@Marcus666Sund actually, they may be a company that makes real car. like Opel make Vauxhalls, RUF make Porches, Infinti make Nissans and Holden make Fords
@jasonisonfire Turnkey cars are available from around £18k upwards depending on spec. The latest demonstrator is being built with a much wider front wing. Body parts can be supplied in any plain colour, decals or wrapping easily added to get the right colour scheme.
Most certainly not! Please don't use swear words like "Atom" on here!!! The new Furore has now passed SVA testing & will be road registered very shortly - I will then have a breeding pair!
I just watched a fun video. It was called "me driving like a nutter on the public road" and I watched it in a police car 126.3 mph in ferrari 360. not excessive in that car but the cop was being anal about "public safety " or something tedious
balls ! be careful out there all you guys who like to drive fast. coming out on the bus anyone?
I'm sure we weren't breaking any speed limits! Like I said I've not checked out the top speed, unfortunately anything over the ton is going to get you a seat on the bus. :(
It's not speed that kills, it's instant deceleration that does it.
I would beg to differ - try hitting an oak tree at 30mph! Just how slow do you want to go - perhaps we could have a man with a red flag walk in front!
We could all try learning to drive (note:- I said drive not "pass a test") I personally find the best defence is to not have an "accident" in the first place!
apparently your idea of knowing how to drive is being able to control the car at high speed. there's no need for that on the road, it's not a freakin race track out there, it's just going from A to B, and the only times you should drive fast is if something you didn't expect just came up and u need to be at place B as soon as possible. if you wanna drive fast for fun then go to an actual race track. besides we are only human so no matter how good you are, "accidents" do happen
No, my idea of being able to drive is to be able to control a car at sensible speeds on the road in order to get from A to B as quickly as is reasonably & safely possible. As I've already pointed out we are not breaking any speed limits - this car is all about having a bit of fun without the need to go to a race track.
You've pointed out you hit a wall at 60mph & survived like it's a badge of honour or something! I would suggest that perhaps you were not in full control of your vehicle!

I've had a look at the website, and I have a few questions:
Is it possible to buy a pre-assembled model? How much would that be?
Do you sell a wider front wing or would it be possible to have one made?
Are the body parts painted or just a blank canvas?

That thing has got to be a danger to drive in. Not at all due to it's safety, but due to people veering into it's lane trying to get a better look.

ilikezappa 2 years ago
0 - 60 is around 3 & 1/2 secs, top end should be around 160/170 mph, haven't actually checked that as yet!!! :)

furoreruss 2 years ago
but there won't be great decelerations at low speeds

furoreruss 2 years ago
i hit a wall at around 60 and didn't die, probably it was just luck but 30mph against something that won't move won't kill you, it'll kill your car
lORDELO2 2 years ago
Hmmmm! Try it in an old Mini - let me know how you get on! :D
furoreruss 2 years ago
anyway that's not my point. at low speeds it is less likely for someone to lose control of the car and cause said decelerations...
