  • RIP Hubert ....

  • @TheQuicksilverdog thank you so much. Was so desperate to find the full length version of this after seeing a clip of it in a blues documentary. Superb !

  • @texaspete66 Glad you enjoy it, the Wolf was my favorite of the old school Chicago Bluesman.

  • Love this song

  • Good Lord this is a slowed-down version of If I Had Possession by Robert Johnson with different lyrics. I hope there was credit given where credit was due. Someone inform me please. I only know Robert Johnson version (and Clapton) If there is an earlier known artist or explaination I`d love to know. I love hearing such early ``rip-offs``...was the reason I fell in love with Zeppelin lmao

  • Can someone tell me the time signature of this song? Its like a 12 bar but it has a two count thrown in there, if that makes sense. Im not familiar with this(probably common) blues progression.

  • Damn! nothin to say, IM speechless!!!!

  • Sounds like "If I Had Possession over Judgment Day" by Robert Johnson.

  • @BobBerkeley yes it does

  • @pinoyblues69 but of course wolf made it his own. putting rhythm into the blues

  • @BobBerkeley 100% agree. shoulda read comments before posting LOL

  • Mehr geht nicht !! AAAA !!!

  • ...How could someone dislike this?

  • Nice Video been looking for this .THANKS, long live the blues

  • Rest in PEace Hubert Sumlin one of my guitar heroes

  • rip hubert

  • who else is playing the guitar?

  • @steppinout67 hubert sumlin who just died a few weeks back r.i.p.

  • Nice Sears Silvertone Guitar Amp. Seriously, those sound awesome for the Blues if you're not familiar. Folks had 'em at first because they were cheap. Turned out, they were great for that gritty tube sound that Fender, Marshall and Gibson amps didn't really get because they were TOO polished. Not sure what the other guitar was going through. Sounded similar.

  • 1 person can't make it to da bottom....

  • some one get a new sax.... that ones been murdered

  • LONG LIVE THE BLUES

  • I missed the news of Hubert Sulin's death last weekend. One of the best. He will live as long as the blues.

  • @TheMargarita1948 Hubert was the MAN!

  • RIP Hubert Sumlin

  • Howlin' Wolf ..... KICK - ASS.......

  • Pure greatness

  • ♫♪♫♪ BluEs ♫♪♫♪

  • @wistoncap No... just no.

  • @wistoncap LMAO! Amen brother!

  • @wistoncap Truer words have never been spoken. Preach .

  • Sounds just like Dust My Broom

  • He was terrorized by an uncle. This song tells the chilling tale.

  • somebody call the fire dept cos they burned the place down with this #

  • I thought Wolf was gonna smack that sax player at the start there, " u gonna tune that sap-suckin' horn, or am I gonna have to smack u wit it upside your head?!!!"

  • Comment removed

  • making that saxophone cry!!!!

  • AUOOOOOOOOOOOOOO(howls this she-wolf)

The Wolf always made me feel it in the center of my body

The wolf called me like a lost puppy to the daddy of the pack and I ama woman--man oh man

  • This has a lot of importance from a music standpoint and historic standpoint. "When you see me running, don't make me late, cause Im coming out the window, and my life is at stake!" WOW! Sing Wolf, sing it bro!

  • amazing saxophone and mr. wolf obviously kicks ass

  • The Wolf done right, tho he done wrong too. But he don't mean no harm because his Mama done left him. He's just man like you and I. He ain't perfect.

  • @martinguitar22 u mad? theyd stop fightin and make sweet music, unless there was a woman involved, then Leadbelly would win.

  • i wonder who would win in a rumble between leadbelly and the wolf

  • You don't mess with a man with size 16 or bigger shoes.

  • If this doesnt speak to you , you have no pulse...

  • éblouissant !

  • The Wolf is awsome! He has got a lot of power in his guitar as well as his voice, and I bet that not many out there could beat it!

"Meet me in the Bottom, Bring me my running shoes..."

  • Man i would of loved him as my dad!!!!

  • Ah, Howlin' is one of the best blues singers ever....

  • @PAdriaensen1 Yep!!!

  • @PAdriaensen1 He was my favorite. I was blessed with seeing him in a small dancehall called the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco in 1967.

  • @TheQuicksilverdog so cool!

  • @TheQuicksilverdog : You lucky dog!

  • @PAdriaensen1 you are absolutely right
