@MrECW94 You're right, it's not a huge deal, but it somewhat lessens the first impression of Han's character. By shooting first without taking any BS from Greedo, it shows him as somewhat of a badass who does what he needs to get ahead. This makes the evolution of his character from rogue to hero a little more apparent. By waiting for Greedo to shoot, it gives the impression that he's already a pretty good guy, and doesn't mature much over the course of the trilogy.

2. The digital lean they added for Han is absolute shit.

In the original version of the movie Greedo did not even shoot. Han Shot him and walked away like a badass. The new version had a blaster bolt added in to make Han look more like a "good guy".
