I've actually known about it for like 10 years, it was one of the 1st shortcuts I found in the game, I had jumped over the barrel for some reason and ended up in the warp barrel.

man, that thing was one of the best moments of my life. The first game of my life was Donkey Kong Country, and my first level was mine cart carnage. I played it when i was 2, my sister was playing DKC at a emulator of SNES in the computer, suddenly she called me to play with her and she taught me how to throw. Suddenly, at my first minutes playing a video game, i tried to go to the barrel (or minecart), but i missed the barrel, and reached that another one...

... but i didn't had at least the chance to finish the level, my sister took me out from the chair, tried to finish the level, she died and asked to me: how you did it?

Well, there's a run done in 23 minutes using a warp glitch that skips like an entire world, and the full-level record is 32 minutes. Plus, this run was just a spur of the moment thing, I wasn't trying to break the record.

Nope, I have the SNES that allows you to use the Gamecube's yellow/white/red plug instead of that really old RF? cable that you had to put in the back of the TV.

You can save time on the first level by getting the iron barrel and throwing it against the wall and then jumping on it. U can basically ride it towards the end of the level.

Because this speedrun was done doing all levels in the game. I couldn't skip any levels, but I could use the warps in some levels and some bonus areas to skip some parts of each level like i did in the 2nd level.

Try jumping when the rope reaches its highest point when you swing on it and hold right on the control pad to get a little farther.

Yeah its a hidden warp barrell, it always works.

Nope it should work on any platform. There's supposed to be a barrell directly under that first barrell. Use Diddy since he can jump over the first barrell easiest.
