  • alright just need some feedback. im 14,want to join the corps when im 18, and can do the following(i know u need to cross train but this is just the pft stuff for me)-3 marine corps pull ups, run 3 miles in sub 20 min, and 46 full sit ups in 2 min. i know my running is good but is the others good enough for my age? like will i have enough time if i work out consistently to pull those up quite a bit?

  • @marleynrs8- Thats pretty good, for a better idea of how well you're doing look up the marine physical requirements on google

  • It's good that you are doing something. In reality you can't really prepare for what will happen. It's unreal. If you make it..it will be the proudest day of your life. Good Luck :)

  • 28 pullups is a real good start!

The Marines that train with us do the CrossFit workout of the day (WOD) and Battling Ropes.

They have done extremely well on their tests.

This will provide a good foundation, but practice specifically what is on your tests as well.

  • Hang in there!

  • Im getting ready too but i got the hasel of getting a green card

  • i hate thrusters!

  • Now try it with someone yelling in you ear, and if you don't have right form, its pushup time!! But in all seriousness. Nothing will prepare you well enough for whats to come.

  • its true that nothing can prepare you, but at least theyre working out. in shape is better than out of shape going in basic

  • haha you think you are in good shape untill you start preparing for boot camp. Then you realize that it was harder than you thought.
