As for numbers, they are very misleading, for example armored units. You accurately place Russian armor strength at 22,000-but do not take quality into consideration. Only 6,000 are considered modern pieces (ie no less than 2 generations old) of that 22,000- 16,000 are in storage due to under funding.
The US also has 19,000 tanks...not 8,000...or are you only counting the M1A1?
btw, high military expenditures mean they have a higher budget to mess around with. It doesn't mean that is their maintenance cost. A high budget allows more money allocated to train, equip, and update units faster and with the most modern tech. It allows for higher paid personal, which leads to a more professional force. The higher the military expenditures (IE defence budget) the more effective that country's unit will be.
i lol'd when it included non-SCO members like India, Iran, and Pakistan. Those are people who only attend the some meetings- ie observer. Russia holds the same status in NATO as do many other countries like the Ukraine, Austria, and the Swiss.

As for naval units, the list for both sides is completely wrong. I do not even know how you came up with such a count. The US operates over 1,500 vessels and has more toned than every other navy in the world combined. Not to mention 3 times more carriers than everyone else combined.

As for numbers, they are very misleading, for example armored units. You accurately place Russian armor strength at 22,000-but do not take quality into consideration. Only 6,000 are considered modern pieces (ie no less than 2 generations old) of that 22,000- 16,000 are in storage due to under funding.
The US also has 19,000 tanks...not 8,000...or are you only counting the M1A1?

btw, high military expenditures mean they have a higher budget to mess around with. It doesn't mean that is their maintenance cost. A high budget allows more money allocated to train, equip, and update units faster and with the most modern tech. It allows for higher paid personal, which leads to a more professional force. The higher the military expenditures (IE defence budget) the more effective that country's unit will be.

for military expenditure you must count that: 1. NATO solders has higher salery. NATO has two war ( Iraq and Avganistan ) and that cost lot of money. 2. NATO equipment cost maybe duble than Rusians and other. Example one aircraft 4+ generation ( Eurofighter , Rafale , super Hornet F15.) cost 100 mil $ . in other side SU-30 cost 40-50mil $ . The Soviets beat the Germans do to Hilter not allowing Manstien and his other generals to do what they knew was best, AND the arrival zhukov. Russia does NOT 3million soldiers in their armed forces. It is more around 80000. In a big war Russia will recruit more people and it would increase the 32million.
