the blue collar workers can't be lazy right now because they can't afford it. they spent all their childhood being lazy, or are lazy right now. they got what they deserved. if i gave one of them a million dollars, they'd stop working and be lazy again. besides, if they truely work hard to get ahead, they will be rewarded. obama is one example, and he's (supposed to be) your hero! my dad is an example, and so is my granddad. america is rather fair in its treatment of its people.

Perhaps your parent/grandparent were lucky enough to do that. but that option isn't available to everyone. Not everyone makes enough money to fulfill basic needs and improve their quality of life. It's referred to as wage slavery.
And if you failed at college for whatever reason, then worked hard, of course you bloody well deserve the money. You worked for it. Common sense there.

if you do work hard, then you will get your reward. tons of people start out poor and become rich. being lucky doesn't cut it. democrats (and commies) constantly complain about how it's not their fault they failed. also, the blue collars work hard because they HAD to, not because they wanted to. if they did want to, they would've worked hard at first! THAT'S common sense. and if they do want the work hard, they will get what they deserved. welfare is not the answer.

Not the case. Welfare state is where the government cares for it's citizens safety and health. It cares for them if they get into financial trouble, which people do. It helps people feed themselves if the job market is low and they can't find a job. It's not freeloading.

and dude, if you think about it, businessmen, lawyers, and doctors had to work really hard to get their degrees and have to work long hours or do a lot of travelling. blue collar workers repeat the same thing over and over again.

and besides, they got what they deserved. i'm not saying they're lazy right now, but they were lazy at some point in their lives (with obvious brain damage exceptions), and thus, have to work hard now because they can't afford it. if i were a lazy person, and i fail college, and end up with a blue collar job, would i work hard? yes. would i deserve more money? no. and if a person started off poor, if they truely work hard, they won't be poor much longer. america is realitively fair.

And you think blue collars don't have to do long hours? Do you realize that a vast majority of wealth is built on the back of blue collar workers. Our luxury is built on top of people who busted there backs, their butts, and their arms and legs off. All for our benefit. These people are due a damned sight more respect than they get.

yeah, and most of those blue collar jobs are young people who eventually leave and get new white collar jobs. so ya see? they worked hard and got what they deserved. anyone who is STILL there is a loser, and doesn't deserve money. everyone starts at the very bottom first, and if they deserve respect, they will get promoted and get payed better. i'm talking about the blue collar people who wasted their lives and are still poor when they're in their 40's or 50's.

most blue collar workers are young people, and usually quit and get white collar jobs after they prove they are capable of that. so ya see? if they do work hard, they will get promoted or gain a white collar job and get respectable pay. if you're still working a blue collar job at the age of 40 or 50, then you're a loser. ok, so they work for a CEO's benefit. they're being paid by the CEO, and if they do work hard, they get promoted and they become the white collar worker.

Excuse me but their is no way back then. Segregation existed in the 1960s this means it hasn't even been 50 years yet since we have had equal protection under the law. So you need to back track on this "back then statement" because it does not apply here.

Inner city schools in this country fail for normally one reason. Lack of funding. It's also to do with an abject lack of schools. I can't imagine that is so different in America. Charter schools are a joke. They were tried here and have turned out to be failure.
Can you provide any proof about what you say of the Unions and about this New Jersey test?

Jeeze:look at who the Teacher's Unions give their money,too;and in my state,Massachusetts,school reform has had to be shoved down the teacers' unions' throats;merit pay,mandatory testing for advancement,charter schools;it's common knowledge;I imagine just google any of these reforms +teacher union opposition should give you reading for a lifetime;ditto for" New Jersey firefighter" case.

And if you are talking about the New Haven Firefighter case involving Sotomayor, then you might want to check the facts again. About the fact her ruling involved 14 white people and 1 Hispanic. All of who she ruled against. And look at the persistant cases of discrimination against racial groups by the new haven fire service.

It's exactly relevant to this white firefighter deal. Sotomayor busted are group of 15 firefighters over a test they took to be promoted. They 'all' failed, including the 1 Hispanic member. And who sued for this? the entire group. all 15 of them.

There's certainly some truth to this. There are many liberals who see white men as the problem, just as there are conservatives who will do the same with minorities. One of the differences is that so many liberals are out in the open with their blaming of white men for everything.
I mean look at the Jena 6 case..that pretty much says it all. Liberals took the side of the attackers and didn't give a shit about the victim.

And did you ever consider, even for a moment, that the reason they can't 'compete' is because there is a existing white bias. I doubt it.
