This was a great movie aside from the fact it didn't always follow actual recounting of events. The "character" of Charles Remington was brilliant. And the soundtrack was awesome by Jerry Goldsmith.

Oh, c'mon guys. Though I love this movie, this was not a role for Michael Douglas. First of all, his character was fictitious in a story based off of historical accounts. If you read LIONS OF TSAVO by Col. Patterson, you'll see that Patterson killed both lions. Douglas produced this movie, and wanted to get a paycheck as an actor. His character was unnecessary. When he says, "I am the devil," , I don't buy it. The soundtrack is great. Rolls like Gordon Gecko are better for Douglas, though

@ajwonderboy Totally agree about Douglas being wrong for this role. I think an eye patch would have helped him there though. :)

I don't know why but I had never even heard of this movie before I saw this clip. Have since seen it and I think you're right about Michael Douglas. This was a great role for him and he did it well.And of course, Jerry Goldsmith does it again. He constantly amazes me.
