@xXSOKkenrusXx would you like me to make a video with my 30-06? also those holes were punched at close range and not shot from 80 yrds. i'm a retired ballistics expert with the la police department, but nice try :)
@wickipede1 That's bullshit and you know it. Yes, please make a video to go along with all the other videos you have made. Don't hate on the kid when you have nothing to show.
Not too shabby. I dont understand the speculation against you as for making the group you did. I learned how to shoot with an old .22 single shot while in the BSA...my first gun was a .22 tube feeder...SEARS brand...hahaha...my Grandpa got it for me...still have that rifle...shooting in behind the old barn was a favorite past time and I loved building my skill and confidence level as time moved on....thanks for bringing back some great memories!!!
u guys be surprised if you never shot a 22lr past 50 yards they actually dont drop as much as i thaught i was shooting prolly 138 yards and was hitting the old cookie tray i put up. as for this guys group i think its real

This is my first gun when i was 8. I have put alot of rounds through it, extremely reliable an accurate. I have learned one thing, no matter how cool a video there will always be haters. Just ignore them, they already know they suck
Based on your pace count and body size, plus the scale of the woods....I'd say you're around 40 yards, 50 max. I'm not criticizing, just trying to give perspective.
I'm thinking of getting a model 60, thanks for posting!
@spectre205 Look for an older used "Glenfield model 30" If is the same exact gun. It was made in the early 80's but it has a 18 shot capacity. Marlin used the Glenfield brand as a selling point. I picked one up used in a small mom and pop gun shop for $100. Thing is tits. Don't ever buy the remington .22lr 550 ammo. The shit is the worst stuff on the planet. Buy the Federal. It is the same price and a lot more consistent and reliable.
@awesomeabsol Gun comes with a dovetail rail on it just like most .22's or airguns. 11mm dovetail I beleive it is. You can pick up a set of rings at wal mart for under $10, a $30 tasco scope is all you will need as well.
I counted you walked some 50 steps to the target, for an average 6' high man, one walking step spans a distance of 1 yard or less....you guys can figure out the actual distance now.......
I believe it. I have a 1981 vintage Marlin 60 with thousands of rounds through it and I can duplicate that group and range if I prop it on a sandbag. My 46 year old hands are a little shakey to do it hand held.
btw that comment is in no way a negative reflection on the shooting in the video. Good gun, good shooting, i'm just irked by all the people calling bullshit on vids like this.
you people act like this is soo hard. i have this gun with a 3-9x32mm scope on it. On a good day you should be able to shoot the same hole over and over again at 100 yards if ur a halfway decent shot
I own a Ruger 10/22 and I don't believe it is as accurate as the Marlin rifles. Again, good shooting littlemac10. And it seems a certain person has not responded with any more comments nor has he / she posted a video of themselves showing that they are a better marksman.... "When i shoot something it drops dead"
Not bad as you say. But your 80 to 90 yards doesn't seem right. I counted your steps to the target as being 45 or46. No where near 80 yards. Even if each step was 1 yd it would only be 46 yards +/-. Your rifle is a great rifle. Mine would shoot 1/2" or less at a marked off 75 yds with a scope. It's was stolen years ago now. It had in excess of 100 K rounds shot through it and it still would do the same. They are great rifles for sure. Measure U'er target thou it will make for a better video. yl

@Dec0790 I had 2 over the years and for me there a great 22 SA rifle. They about the most accurate out of the box rifle that can be bought in a 22 Lr. There barrels type have worked great for me. @R1alpha who the fuck are you??? who brought you into the conversation between me and littlemac10s what is your reasoning behind commenting on me giving a comment to someone else, is it to make yourself feel better??? or is it to try and prove someone wrong that has no pertinence to the video whatsoever? keep your little witty ass comments to yourself and fuck off
@bwoodcracker: Wow! Seems someone is a little sensitive! You need a juice box and a nap? Whats the matter? Can't take a little bit of "constructive criticism?" Like I said, put up a video. Actions speak louder than words. The profanity in your response also shows a lack of intelligence and tact. Then again you're probably not intelligent enough to respond any other way. Anything else you post after this will be just you spouting your ignorant rhetoric.
@R1alpha aw look who is trying to act all big & smart, leave your "witty" comments to yourself & get off your lazy ass and contribute to society in some way or another, & whats with you & the word tact, its called an expanded vocabulary you should invest in one, you probably dont even know the meaning of ignorant you dumb cunt why dont you do youtube a favor and just burn your computer & im sorry i dont go around posting videos of me shooting a piece of paper when i shoot something it drops dead
@bwoodcracker Again with the vulgarity. You're funny woodpecker! You really do crack me up! Expanded vocabulary? Its called laziness. Ignorant people use profanity to fill in a sentence when they can't think of anything more intelligent to say.
Woodpecker said: "when i shoot something it drops dead"
As I said, put up a video to back up your smack talking. Otherwise continue to come on here and be ridiculed. My friends and I have a good laugh at your expense.
@R1alpha well im glad i amuse you, do you just sit on the computer and look for people to harass all day??? im done with your retarded ass, have fun with your sorry excuse for a life
@bwoodcracker No woodpecker, I just like to make fun of you. Its apparent I get to you because you always respond in a negative manner. You are only able to to use immature comments and that in itself I find callow. Its also apparent that you are of low intelligence and therefore not worthy of any more of my time. I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person such as yourself.
Therefore, I will be the adult here and allow you to have the last word as I would any other child.
@R1alpha lol negative manner, its kinda tricky to understand someones true emotion while reading such a short string of text, and clearly you do not understand mine because i find it rather amusing that you think that i care what you have to say, besides you are obviously putting way too much effort into these replies so good day cunt
@bwoodcracker Congratulations! From your newest post I see you finally used a dictionary and/or thesaurus to help you with your verbiage rather than depend on your woefully inadequate vocabulary. And just when I thought you finally get the point you go and use more vulgarity. You disappoint me Woodpecker. And there is no effort being put into these replies. It takes no effort when I am more intellectually superior to you.
@bwoodcracker And by the way, your post was also one long run on sentence. You may want to use a period every once in awhile. The computer you are using there in your parents house can help you with that.
No need to apologize littlemac. Good shooting nontheless, even with a scope. It may not be 80 yards (probably closer to 50) but then again I was not there. Neither were the two individuals making negative comments about your shooting. Mosin54r, I'm sure you could not do the same without a scope either. As for your comment bwoodcracker, I am willing to call bullshit on anything you say until you post something on here showing us you can do any better.
hey dont pay attention to all the negative feed back, its just alot of people post bull shit videos so people are skeptical about everything they see. if that was legit than its great. and not as hard as some people would think some people hit groupings like that at over 150 yards with that rifle. just some people suck at shooting and find it hard to believe that people can do better
you should definitely show the target before and after and show the distance, how do we know that you didnt shoot that from 5 feet away then walk your "80 yards" away and just shoot at some random thing and say that is what you just shot?? im calling bullshit on these "80 yard shots"
@bwoodcracker You're right, I should have so I can prove to all you idiots that don't know how to shoot. I know it may not be 80 yard but sorry I'm a poor judge of distance!! I'm sick of all these negative comments. If you don't enjoy the video don't waste your time and my time by putting stupid comments on here.
@littlemac10s it wasnt a negative comment i was giving some constructive criticism, and dont say that i dont know how to shoot, if it were me taking those shots they would have all been covered up but a quarter
bwoodcracker said: "it wasnt a negative comment i was giving some constructive criticism" If telling someone, "im calling bullshit on these "80 yard shots" is your idea of constructive criticism, learn some tact or keep your comments to yourself because you suck at it.
@bwoodcracker you know i saw his video about 6 months ago. I can't believe there so many Mary and Nancy still bitchin about this. It's some one shooting his rifle while making a video
@moiecol Woodpecker does have some growing up to do. Every time he comes on here to come back at me for something I said, he just makes himself look more stupid. I almost feel bad lambasting him because it takes ZERO effort due to his immaturity. But I feel someone has to show him the error of his ways since his parents and public education (based on his grammar and punctuation) has failed him. Poor Woodpecker. Living with his parents and minimum wage jobs will probably continue to be his life.
@bwoodcracker I'm with you man! Those 80 yards shots are bullshit!!! I have the same gun only mine's the older 18 shot gun with a longer barrel and this video is MAJOR BULLSHIT!! He wishes it shot that good! In his dreams maybe!! lol.
@CharlieDoan im gonna have to ask you to settle down and try and rephrase what your saying because us "fucking stupid american kids" don't understand gibberish (we arent too into them there foreign languages) why are you so angry? you fucking live in america or supposedly do
@CharlieDoan lol i am in no way from england you dumb fuck, and you made absolutely no sense with your comment, and dont get upset that people didnt like the way that your country does everything ass backwards so they decided to say fuck you and start their own country, and when you tried to stop them, they beat your ass, i promise you if you were in america you would not be talking shit, dumb English fuck
great grouping! That's one loud plinker. Would you choose this gun over a Mossberg .22, Remington 572 fieldmaster, Remington 552 speedmaster or the J.C. Higgins Model 31? What a the cons with this rifle? thanks
@Mrcaffinebean 10/22 's don't even come close to the accuracy of a microgrooved Marlin 22 the model 60 would stomp a ruger in accuracy every time . the only plus to the ruger is the after market crap, which lets face it,is for posers anyway .
@crabtrap Maybe that's true. However the after-market stocks aren't for "posers". Customization adds a level of fun to any gun. But more importantly the Model 60 look like a knockoff a a 10/22! That's what really brothers me.
I was just using bulk Federal ammo you can get at any walmart. In my semi-auto rifles I tend to go with the cheap stuff, especially just for plinking. I can justify popping off 50 rounds of CCI in 2 mintues at a cost of $20. I'll save those for the hunting rounds
@TheCoolfez winchester wildcat always jammed 2-3 times per load. there a small shoulder on the bullet. all the other brands worked ok for me. based on a brick had probably 20 duds and jam-up
real good shooting, what distance are you sighted in at ?, I just got mine recently, same model. mine's at 50yds . and adjust 2^ at 75 yds. and so on.
@Mosin54r Why would you use Iron sights if you could use a scope? Makes you a better shot? I really don't beleive it does at all. You take say a .223 with a 6-24x50 scope and set the power on say 16x lined up on a standard 8" target at 100 yards. You will have a nice clear image and be seemingly steady on the bench. Crank the mag up to 24 on the same target and you could check your pulse. Iron sights are very limited and I don't beleive there is any advantage whatsoever over a scope.
love my marlin60... I've found without a doubt they shoot federal almost flawlessly and remington ammo is a nightmare.. anyone know why remington doesn't get along with this gun?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
How do we know you didn't make the holes in the target ahead of time, and just shoot over? You took 14 shots, I count 10 on target. show blank target first, walk away with camera on target, then shoot.... Without a scope at that distance and that grouping seems "Bogus".
you're right... you don't know that I didn't just "place it there".... but if I walked all the way from the target, shot, and walked back that would be a long video nobody would like. Believe what you want but I'm not about making fake videos to show people, who I don't even know, how I can shoot. To address your last comment, LOOK AT THE GUN and previous comments, you'll realize that I shoot with a 3x9x40. Don't be an idiot. If you don't like the video don't post.
The Model 60 is more accurate than any stock 10/22 except maybe the target model with the heavy barrel. You can buy a 10/22 and pump lots of money into it making look like a full-on combat AR, which may or may not be really accurate (depending on what you do to it) or you can just get a Model 60, which is almost completely non-upgradeable, but is just a deadly accurate, classic-looking rifle. That's the way I see it anyway. And that's exactly what made my decision on which to buy.
I pumped money into another 10/22 but in the direction of a GM barrel, laminate stock, and trigger work. You can make one shoot, but its pricey. I read the same about a model 60. Bought one 3 weeks ago to donate to a fire dept raffle. Upon getting it, noticed the rear sight was mounted off center big time. So its currently at Marlin being fixed so that its actually suitable to sell chances on. Marlin's quality control has suffered greatly, much like most other things these days.
Had mine for over ten years just put a scope on it yesterday, Tasco 3-9 works great and sinking cans freehand at 50 yards easy. Mine needs cleaned badly will work on it in a bit.
I have had a Marlin Model 60...Actually had two! The first was a Marlin/Glenfield Model 60. It is an outstanding rifle for the price. A little constructive criticism. While shooting you should have had the camera zoomed on the target or on the shooter.
i bought a marlin like mabye a half a year ago no problems but just today whenever i pulled my bolt back to load a bullet in the chamber it was realy hard but i got it but then the hammer or somthing internal doesnt strike the bullet anyone else have this problem and how do i fix it??please help!!
I had the same problem after I cleaned my Marlin. There is a spring that is in the shape of a V I think its called "disconnector spring", this spring pops out of place very easily. When this happend you could chamber a round but there would be no strike. Pop it back in place and you should be good to go.
Nice shooting dude. I love my Model 60. I bought it at K Mart back in 82. Haven't shot it much until last month. Man I forgot how sweet that little 60 is...
That part only bends if you drop the rifle head first withmagazine spring out. Mine is a newer model and the tube seems tough enough but I'm sure if I drop it and that end hits something hard (when the spring is removed) the tube edge will bend. When the magazine spring is in and locked mine has a metal end that takes the hits even if dropped.
It shouldn't bend. Mine doesn't. Unless you mean the orange plastic piece at the end of the spring. They used plastic so they can paint it orange so we can see the color from inside the action and know that there are no more bullets left in the magazine. I guess they could use painted metal there too but then they wouldn't sell it for $140-$160.I personally prefer tubular magazines to detachable clip because any imperfection at the tip of clips can make the bullets not load in specially plastic.
That is correct. I have a old .22 rifle from the 20`s that can take birds down. Shot one bird and from where I took the shot at the bird was found on the ground about 1 mile away (thats an estimate). Not sure how high up that would be but I now these guns can shoot far. especially if you get the supersonic rounds that has a higher fps rating.
.22LR bullets cannot reach the mile and a hlaf stated on most ammo boxes and regardless of what hunter education book says the maximum range of most .22LR ammo is around 400meters when shot at 30 degrees, which is the correct incline for maximum range with any firearm (or piece of artillery for that matter)
The 60 is a great gun but if you ever want to get a professionally made suppressor I do not think you will be able to. I have not found yet. I have had mine for 20+ years and it still shoots great. Just gave it a face lift with a nice three color camo leaf design. I use a red dot and it looks great.
littlemac10s one question for you....what is the size of the scope brakets that attach to the receiver upper part? I bought a Marlin 60 today un my country and need to find those scope brakets....I noticed the rail is very thin like an airgun type...any info is very appreciated.

@R1alpha aw look who is trying to act all big & smart, leave your "witty" comments to yourself & get off your lazy ass and contribute to society in some way or another, & whats with you & the word tact, its called an expanded vocabulary you should invest in one, you probably dont even know the meaning of ignorant you dumb cunt why dont you do youtube a favor and just burn your computer & im sorry i dont go around posting videos of me shooting a piece of paper when i shoot something it drops dead
bwoodcracker 1 year ago
@bwoodcracker Again with the vulgarity. You're funny woodpecker! You really do crack me up! Expanded vocabulary? Its called laziness. Ignorant people use profanity to fill in a sentence when they can't think of anything more intelligent to say.
Woodpecker said: "when i shoot something it drops dead"
As I said, put up a video to back up your smack talking. Otherwise continue to come on here and be ridiculed. My friends and I have a good laugh at your expense.

@R1alpha well im glad i amuse you, do you just sit on the computer and look for people to harass all day??? im done with your retarded ass, have fun with your sorry excuse for a life
bwoodcracker 1 year ago
@bwoodcracker No woodpecker, I just like to make fun of you. Its apparent I get to you because you always respond in a negative manner. You are only able to to use immature comments and that in itself I find callow. Its also apparent that you are of low intelligence and therefore not worthy of any more of my time. I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person such as yourself.
Therefore, I will be the adult here and allow you to have the last word as I would any other child.
R1alpha 1 year ago

R1alpha 1 year ago
@bwoodcracker And by the way, your post was also one long run on sentence. You may want to use a period every once in awhile. The computer you are using there in your parents house can help you with that.
R1alpha 1 year ago
No need to apologize littlemac. Good shooting nontheless, even with a scope. It may not be 80 yards (probably closer to 50) but then again I was not there. Neither were the two individuals making negative comments about your shooting. Mosin54r, I'm sure you could not do the same without a scope either. As for your comment bwoodcracker, I am willing to call bullshit on anything you say until you post something on here showing us you can do any better.
R1alpha 1 year ago
hey dont pay attention to all the negative feed back, its just alot of people post bull shit videos so people are skeptical about everything they see. if that was legit than its great. and not as hard as some people would think some people hit groupings like that at over 150 yards with that rifle. just some people suck at shooting and find it hard to believe that people can do better
damnteen20 1 year ago
you should definitely show the target before and after and show the distance, how do we know that you didnt shoot that from 5 feet away then walk your "80 yards" away and just shoot at some random thing and say that is what you just shot?? im calling bullshit on these "80 yard shots"
bwoodcracker 1 year ago
@bwoodcracker You're right, I should have so I can prove to all you idiots that don't know how to shoot. I know it may not be 80 yard but sorry I'm a poor judge of distance!! I'm sick of all these negative comments. If you don't enjoy the video don't waste your time and my time by putting stupid comments on here.
littlemac10s 1 year ago 14
@littlemac10s it wasnt a negative comment i was giving some constructive criticism, and dont say that i dont know how to shoot, if it were me taking those shots they would have all been covered up but a quarter
bwoodcracker 1 year ago
bwoodcracker said: "it wasnt a negative comment i was giving some constructive criticism" If telling someone, "im calling bullshit on these "80 yard shots" is your idea of constructive criticism, learn some tact or keep your comments to yourself because you suck at it.

I own a model 60. Those results are real. I can hit walnuts at 80 yards with mine. Fired thousands of rounds through it and still very accurate.

great grouping! That's one loud plinker. Would you choose this gun over a Mossberg .22, Remington 572 fieldmaster, Remington 552 speedmaster or the J.C. Higgins Model 31? What a the cons with this rifle? thanks
D33Lux 2 years ago
@D33Lux I would think the biggest con is it looks like a 10/22 knock off. I would chose it over most other .22 plinkers, other than a 10/22.
Mrcaffinebean 2 years ago
@Mrcaffinebean 10/22 's don't even come close to the accuracy of a microgrooved Marlin 22 the model 60 would stomp a ruger in accuracy every time . the only plus to the ruger is the after market crap, which lets face it,is for posers anyway .
crabtrap 1 year ago
@crabtrap Maybe that's true. However the after-market stocks aren't for "posers". Customization adds a level of fun to any gun. But more importantly the Model 60 look like a knockoff a a 10/22! That's what really brothers me.
Mrcaffinebean 1 year ago
@Mrcaffinebean the marlin predates the ruger by 5 years . ruger copied the marlin .
besides ,one is tube fed the other clip fed . customizing can be fun ,but for accuracy, the marlin is the best anywhere near the $250 range
crabtrap 1 year ago
@crabtrap before the 10/22 there was the Deer Stalker, same thing in .44mag(i think).
Mrcaffinebean 1 year ago
@Mrcaffinebean not sure how that fits in with this debate ,but now i want one!

what ammunition are you using?
WildPartyFest 2 years ago
I was just using bulk Federal ammo you can get at any walmart. In my semi-auto rifles I tend to go with the cheap stuff, especially just for plinking. I can justify popping off 50 rounds of CCI in 2 mintues at a cost of $20. I'll save those for the hunting rounds
littlemac10s 2 years ago
@littlemac10s the remington bulk ammo sucks i get about 20% duds out of a box with a marlin 39
crabtrap 1 year ago
Hey, what ammo do you use? Which one is the most reliable for the 60?
TheCoolfez 2 years ago
CCI MIni Mags are great! They say your not supoosed to use uyper velocity but I do, the cleaner burning the better, remington, winchester sucks.
sabbathmusic 2 years ago
@sabbathmusic what store did you buy those cci mags and how much?
moiecol 2 years ago
@TheCoolfez winchester wildcat always jammed 2-3 times per load. there a small shoulder on the bullet. all the other brands worked ok for me. based on a brick had probably 20 duds and jam-up
moiecol 2 years ago
As posted previously, I would love to shoot CCI's all day but to much money. For bulk ammo I like Federal.
littlemac10s 2 years ago
real good shooting, what distance are you sighted in at ?, I just got mine recently, same model. mine's at 50yds . and adjust 2^ at 75 yds. and so on.
moiecol 2 years ago
what kind of scope do you have on it
MsFiDdLeFrEaK1 2 years ago
I was just using a fairly cheap 3x9x40 scope. I think a tasco I picked up for just under 60 bucks
littlemac10s 2 years ago
@MsFiDdLeFrEaK1 no scope..only with naked eye .. He is guessing WHITE target and shoot
CharlieDoan 1 year ago
Sure, with a scope...lets see that replay with iron sights only. Not much windage from the look of the weather either
Mosin54r 2 years ago
?. yea with a scope. he wants to see what the rifle can do. no wind. sure. the rifle will be right on this day. lets see your vid
glockamasta 2 years ago
You're right, probably wouldn't be able to do it without a scope, or more wind.
littlemac10s 2 years ago
@Mosin54r Why would you use Iron sights if you could use a scope? Makes you a better shot? I really don't beleive it does at all. You take say a .223 with a 6-24x50 scope and set the power on say 16x lined up on a standard 8" target at 100 yards. You will have a nice clear image and be seemingly steady on the bench. Crank the mag up to 24 on the same target and you could check your pulse. Iron sights are very limited and I don't beleive there is any advantage whatsoever over a scope.

djbro16 2 years ago

sabbathmusic 2 years ago
@sabbathmusic I've found remington shotgun ammo to be pretty good.. It's no winchester.. but for the money It's pretty reliable.
djbro16 1 year ago
no I'm not sure, again this is just an estimate. Sorry if I'm not exact.
littlemac10s 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
How do we know you didn't make the holes in the target ahead of time, and just shoot over? You took 14 shots, I count 10 on target. show blank target first, walk away with camera on target, then shoot.... Without a scope at that distance and that grouping seems "Bogus".
propatria431 2 years ago
you're right... you don't know that I didn't just "place it there".... but if I walked all the way from the target, shot, and walked back that would be a long video nobody would like. Believe what you want but I'm not about making fake videos to show people, who I don't even know, how I can shoot. To address your last comment, LOOK AT THE GUN and previous comments, you'll realize that I shoot with a 3x9x40. Don't be an idiot. If you don't like the video don't post.

Nice group for a stock rifle and fairly quick shooting. I doubt my stock 10/22 would have kept them all in that circle.
sniper22mag 2 years ago
The Model 60 is more accurate than any stock 10/22 except maybe the target model with the heavy barrel. You can buy a 10/22 and pump lots of money into it making look like a full-on combat AR, which may or may not be really accurate (depending on what you do to it) or you can just get a Model 60, which is almost completely non-upgradeable, but is just a deadly accurate, classic-looking rifle. That's the way I see it anyway. And that's exactly what made my decision on which to buy.
outlawdad74 2 years ago 2
I pumped money into another 10/22 but in the direction of a GM barrel, laminate stock, and trigger work. You can make one shoot, but its pricey. I read the same about a model 60. Bought one 3 weeks ago to donate to a fire dept raffle. Upon getting it, noticed the rear sight was mounted off center big time. So its currently at Marlin being fixed so that its actually suitable to sell chances on. Marlin's quality control has suffered greatly, much like most other things these days.
sniper22mag 2 years ago
Had mine for over ten years just put a scope on it yesterday, Tasco 3-9 works great and sinking cans freehand at 50 yards easy. Mine needs cleaned badly will work on it in a bit.
Sinjin90 2 years ago
I have had a Marlin Model 60...Actually had two! The first was a Marlin/Glenfield Model 60. It is an outstanding rifle for the price. A little constructive criticism. While shooting you should have had the camera zoomed on the target or on the shooter.

Gunsmith420 2 years ago
I had the same problem after I cleaned my Marlin. There is a spring that is in the shape of a V I think its called "disconnector spring", this spring pops out of place very easily. When this happend you could chamber a round but there would be no strike. Pop it back in place and you should be good to go.

way better gun than the 10/22
djbro16 2 years ago
Oh that part.
Hesam0000 3 years ago
It shouldn't bend. Mine doesn't. Unless you mean the orange plastic piece at the end of the spring. They used plastic so they can paint it orange so we can see the color from inside the action and know that there are no more bullets left in the magazine. I guess they could use painted metal there too but then they wouldn't sell it for $140-$160.I personally prefer tubular magazines to detachable clip because any imperfection at the tip of clips can make the bullets not load in specially plastic.
Hesam0000 3 years ago
50 steps from camera to the target = 50 yards
+5 yards back to the rifle = 55 yards :)
I have one of these marlins too, I like them. Tubular magazines are much nicer.
Hesam0000 3 years ago
tubular mags are cool with the children but they are more simple and load way way faster than a clip. plus I like a nice brass shaft
djbro16 2 years ago
Yes, I prefer tubular too. Much more reliable and easy to load and out of way.
Hesam0000 2 years ago
They do. Same gun, different magazine.
67mustangreg 3 years ago
That is correct. I have a old .22 rifle from the 20`s that can take birds down. Shot one bird and from where I took the shot at the bird was found on the ground about 1 mile away (thats an estimate). Not sure how high up that would be but I now these guns can shoot far. especially if you get the supersonic rounds that has a higher fps rating.
Milner62 3 years ago
.22LR bullets cannot reach the mile and a hlaf stated on most ammo boxes and regardless of what hunter education book says the maximum range of most .22LR ammo is around 400meters when shot at 30 degrees, which is the correct incline for maximum range with any firearm (or piece of artillery for that matter)

The 60 is a great gun but if you ever want to get a professionally made suppressor I do not think you will be able to. I have not found yet. I have had mine for 20+ years and it still shoots great. Just gave it a face lift with a nice three color camo leaf design. I use a red dot and it looks great.
