do the metal detectors really work? iv been wanting to buy one for about 3 years but never did cause im not sure if they work,and whats worth more a 10k or a 14k or a 18k i think a 18k ring is worth more right?

@joealonso89 10K has alot a metals and some gold. same with 14K. 18K has more gold then metal. 24K is pure gold. so yes metal detectors work and 18K gold rings are more then 10K and 14K

@killersullo gold is calculated from 24 parts 9k is 9 parts gold and approx 14 parts copper tiny part of that is silver so 18k is 18 parts gold and only 6 parts copper silver

so if you tried to sell a 9k ring in ancient time youd be stoned

Very nice haul Yulelah! That ring is very nice! I have a gold nugget ring similar to that one but the nuggets are more pronounced but man what a find! That's what makes us keep hunting!

I have an interest in local history and have several history books with photos of my home town. I also collect postcards of my home town.
