im a huge sc2 player, and i always thought the sc1 one scene and how people refered too their players as being able to destroy the current sc2 champs as just trash talk. well MC, MMA, and MVP, i really really hope that flash and jaedong dont come to sc2, cause....jesus, macro/micro, no one comes close to these guys

I’ve been following the pro-scene since late ‘07/early ’08 I think. This was the best finals I’ve seen. If this proves to be the last MSL Finals ever then I think it was a fitting tribute to the greatness of Starcraft and the two greatest players ever to grace the scene.

JD's flaw in the last game was taking his 3rd and 4th before thinking about going hive. he didn't expect the early-mid push to be that concentrated and he overly relied on his mutas. flash smartly kept his marines in the middle threatening an attack rather than actually attacking a base where he would have been surrounded. terrans usually either keep heading for the base or go back and camp their own.

JD got owned this game, because he was expecting some kind of 2 base mech. Mech is extremely immobile, so JD thought that with Muta/Hydra, he could keep back the mechw hile he got up his 4 bases to max drones. Unfortunately, as Moletrap said, Flash knew JD would plan for the obvious, and switched to a M/M push, surprising JD. That's why all his lurkers were so late, and his bases undefended with sunkens. Had JD known flash was going for M/M, he woulda gotten lurkers earlier and won.

The last game was a legit win by flash. Games 1 and 2 though (as well as 4) were just a roll of the dice, completely build order based. The map pool produced excellent tvt games, that were very clearly based on skill but in this match up it was almost reduced to zvz level of build order importance.

whats better to get for a timing push with marines? i always got +1 armor instead of atk. isnt it better for sunkens to have to 3 hit u instead of just 1 dmg more per atk?

@hotstuffwatcher if u have medics it is always 3 hits or more so u dont need armor. u take +1 attack vs mutas and also ling sis nice coz u stim and then have the highest attack rate besides crackling so your dps is the best and gets even better.

It's funny how hard zerg players have to try to win, while terran can just pump a couple units and push. Zergs have to expand a ton, tech to hive and get gas heavy units all the while trying to their defend bases.

308 views pffft. SC1 is WAYYYYY better to watch than SC2. The Moletrap/Diggity combo is WAYYYY better than the Husky/HD combo also. HD becomes a little insincere after a while but Moletrap makes for exciting commentary.
