  • My GOSH. This is beautiful! Could you please tell me where to get that exquisite violin score? I can not find it. :(

pre med... looking for relaxation ^_^

  • I just started playing the Violin last week. You make it look so easy! You're really talented. :)

  • @XAlexendureX -- hey thanks...good luck with it...its a great instrument to play :)

  • @eboyinc You're welcome. And thank you, so far, I'ma need all the luck I can get. xD

  • Man, that's a kid playing this!

  • @GrizzlyRecoveryZone1 -- hey, i was 13...i was a tweenie, not a kid :)

  • @eboyinc 13's still a kid for many..lol

  • @jakal1591 -- well, looking back, i guess you're right :)

  • Man I am 47,, just picked up the Violin. And had my first lesson. I am practicing at home. Right now they teach me the pizz. to plug with my thumb it is awesome.

  • @AngelikavonDeutschla -- hey thats great...good luck with it :)

  • From where could I order the German Violin Strad copy ? The sounds are great !

  • @Judexy22 -- thanks...germany produced many strad copies and is still producing them. you can find new german strad copies at any violin shop (you can buy them online--there are several good shops online). most decent violin shops also have older german violins as well. check out your local shops.

  • God, I could never move my left fingers that fast and strict. It sounds wonderful ;)

  • nice thumbing........ why not push it out more and play 1st position with it....

  • @MrModakon

It's called Sarabande in G Minor. I think its by Carl Bohm?

  • @95hayazi -- yep, that's right...thanks :)

  • That was so beautiful!!! A pretty girl stands by a window and plays a most beautiful piece on a most glorious violin and the whole room seems to be glowing with golden light and beautiful music.

    Just awesomeness!

  • @1971SuperLead -- whoa, thanks!

  • What is the name of piece you were playing?

  • dang your good

  • @SuperJa1990 -- whoa, thanks!!!

  • In the description it says Stradavri copy. I was gonna say, that finish looks to clean and new to be an original.

  • @dhcrazy333 -- this is a terrific german violin circa 1910-1920s. there are original strads out there that are pristine. i was fortunate to play on one that looked like it could have been made within the last 50 years--it was prized by its owners from the day it was purchased and was always treated carefully.

  • @eboyinc ya it looks like it's been taken care of quite well. Good sound quality,

  • That sounds so beautiful, I'm so jealous of you :O

And I play that piece, so that was a cool surprise too :)

  • marry me <33

  • now i am in heaven

  • @toro55668888 -- thanks :)

  • The most Expensive Viol.. in the world

  • So beautiful!

  • @auburnUmusic -- tnaks so much!!!

  • YOURE NICE--

  • @tlachues4 -- thank you :)

  • Woww...That sound just like Angel voice

  • @airvarie -- thanks so much...glad you liked it :)

  • beautiful! :'D

  • @randomgirl881 -- hey thanks :)

  • @eboyinc That was exquisite skill. That is a Stradivari Violin??

  • @xXGen3sisXx -- thanks!!! this is a violin made in germany about 1890-1900 patterned after an original italian strad. original strads would be italian instruments, made in stradivari's hometown of cremona. the german luthiers of the 1700 and 1800s were expert at copying italian (strads, guarneris, amatis, dasalos, maginis, etc). they also copied french violins and innovated violins of their on concept.

  • @eboyinc Wow.... So it must be an expensive violin, no?

  • @xXGen3sisXx -- compared to a real strad, no, not at all. considering the skill and time needed to make a violin, they are mostly one of the last great bargains in the world. i'm just a violin student, so i'm not an expert on prices and values, but i'd think you can still buy an old german violin carved by hand a hundred years ago for less than a thousand or two.

  • @eboyinc I want, if it is even possible, the original violin that was made by Antonio Stradivari. Haha. Sounds impossible right??

  • @xXGen3sisXx -- stradivari spent his adult life making "stradivari" violins (and violas, cellos...even a couple of guitars...he also made beautiful cases). Stradivari lived to be 93...and was making instruments for over 70 years. its believed that he made upwards of 1100+ total instruments of which more than half still exists...400-500 of his violins are still around today. go for it :)

  • es un stradivarius

  • @tutyurth -- es una reproduccion de un stradivarius hecho en Germany en el ano 1900 mas o menos :)

  • es precioso

  • i like the sound , but i cant find the one im looking for i love the sound thogh, i really want to play the violin, but i never even seen a violin in real life, i hered it on a anime, it sounds silly, but i thought it was beatifull, i here it in a lot of anime and every time it is beatiful i here sound i like love and most id like to be abel to make, but i probaly wont ever get to tuch a violin let alon a sradivarius, good job

  • um som muito bonito mesmo

    parabens!!

  • @maiconmagoo -- obrigado

  • how come do you have access to such awesome instruments??? congrats for the sound of the piece

    take care

  • @amuntvalenciane -- my brother and i were asked to help catalog the violin collectionof a professional violinist who passed away a few years ago. the family of the violinist asked us to record a short sound sample of each violin. we only get to spend about 5 minutes with each instrument...just enough time to tune them, pick some music to play, and do the recording. but its been totally fun.

  • purty

  • What song did you play?

  • @TheKian360 -- this is a piece by karl bohm called sarabande.

  • That was gorgeous :)

  • That sounded amazing

  • @TheKian360 -- thanks so much c:

  • Hermoso, tienes las partituras?. gracias

  • @martinata10 -- no, lo siento, pero no tenemos la particion que la pedimos prestada de la coleccion de musica que acompana la coleccion de violines. Usted ha mirado la musica libre disponible de imslp(punto)org ?

  • @eboyinc no. i didn't but thanks, this video makes me "study" violin, :).

  • 特別な

  • @titan1916titan -- あなたのコメントは私達を幸せにさせる

  • muito gostoso o som dele

  • to LucasFerreiraRhoads -- obrigado

  • Really beautifully played. You're exceptional!!!

  • to roadshowfan1150 -- thanks...glad you liked it!

  • May I use some of your short sound samples as background in a non commercial volunteer museum project I'm working on? Credit to eboyinc?

  • To Pembawoods -- sure.

  • beautiful interpretation, but more beautiful your hands

  • hi, i'm not sure what you mean, but i did check out your gretsch astro jet! its gorgeous. i'm not a guitarist, but i know a beautiful instrument when i see one. also, i've always wondered what the buttons and pickups on an electric guitar were all about...your video on the astro jet was super...i get it now...very interesting. if anybody has any interest in electric guitars, check out the gretch astro jet video at guitarcapo :D

  • which violin do you like the best? and which has the most rich and empowering sound?

  • wow, i've played over 100 violins from this collection and have many favorites. over the past two years, i've come to appreciate these violins for their individuality...no two are the same. the sound and playing characteristics are more varied than i imagined when i began this project :D

  • Extraordinary performance. These old German instruments are amazing.

  • thanks so much...glad you liked the video :D

  • Why, exactly, does it matter if you have a copy or not. I mean, from a practical stand point - I understand the significance of owning a historical artifact, but the sound is (contrary to popular believe) the same.

  • i think since 99+++++++ percent of violinists will not play on genuine strads, you're right, from a practical standpoint, it doesn't matter and there are many, very fine violins, both old and new which are clearly worthy substitutes. however, the sound of a genuine strad is still the gold standard and you can tell the difference :D

  • me too...the violins that my brother and i are playing in these videos (now about 100 different violins have been sound sampled) are not our violins, but part of a major collection that we were asked to work on...to catalog the instruments and how they played and sounded :D

  • finally it's getting clear =) you can be distinguished by nail polish and a heart-shape ring.

very beautiful playing here! and probably having a great time with all those instruments. I gather, the work dictates the way these are filmed? As I very often lack the opportunity to see more of you (visually) =)

  • yes, we are cataloging the violins, so to be able to see the violin clearly, it is necessary to fill the picture with the instrument :D

  • Very interesting. Copy or not it is lovely and in my book it is still a Strad

  • thanks...you're right. its a really nice violin and like 99%+++ violins in the world today, as my title and description indicates, its a copy of a strad, made in Germany about a century ago :D

  • As you know, the oringinal stradivarius is in the museum, and its the most expensive violin, now in the modern time, violin makers, make the replica of the violin.

  • In his lifetime, Stradivari made over 500 violins as well as a dozen or so violas, 50 cellos--even a couple of guitars :D

  • wow i play violin but i started playing a year ago and i still suck and your awsome

  • hi...thanks for watching the video. i've been playing since 4th grade...over 6 years now. it takes at awhile to get going so i hope you stick it out...i just posted Rachmaninoff's Vocalise and an excerpt of Bach Sonata No. 1...these were pieces that i tried to play in my first year--but couldn't...i'm just at the point now where i can begin to get it :D

  • How many hours a day do you practice? 6? o.O

  • As the description says, this is a German Strad copy violin...the term German strad is commonly used to describe the fine violins made by german luthiers who took pride in copying the basic stradivari design...between the mid to late 1800s and the early 1900s, a german strad copy was an excellent choice for a violinist...but since genuine strads were Italian, if it says german strad, its a copy.

  • My mother's uncle committed suicide, and she got his old violin. I looked inside and it said Stradivarius, with a handwritten number, and it says it's made in Germany. Other than that...I'm pretty sure it's a fake. Would be nice if it wasn't a copy though...

  • almost all violins made in the 19th and 20th century are copies of stradivarius violins. some are very loose copies, and others are serious reproductions. yours is a german made copy, but it could still be a nice violin (although not worth millions). to me, a violin has a history and a personality. yours sounds like its had some sadness in its life, but perhaps it will play with more soul because of it.

  • hi...as it says in the description, it is a german strad copy...not an original strad. nice violin, but its affordable for sure :D

  • Ah, I didn't realize what that meant until now. I just wanted to watch the video.

  • glad you did. and i promise that the minute i find a real strad in this collection, i'll post a sound sample...may alot of sound samples lol :D

  • how much did it cost you?

  • this is a german strad copy as described...and it's part of a collection of violins that my brother and I are sampling here on youtube. i don't own it...but i'd sure like to :D

  • focusing on the music is always good. i get frequent, almost daily requests. i think its just natural curiousity. i certainly don't take any offense at all. there is a video with my face...and believe it or not, i got requests to get closer to the violin. alot of viewers are violinists and violin students who are more interested in the fingering so they want a close up view of my right hand on the fingerboard. i appreciate your sentiment and am glad you like the music :D

  • Just because I asked to see the artist? Interesting concept. Not all of us think that way my friend

  • i get many such requests. i feel somewhat the same when i watch videos without faces. its just curiousity in my view, very natural :D

  • I want pics of the artists!!! While the instruments are themselves timeless it would be nice to have a face to put with the skill =D

  • hi...we're trying to keep the focus on the violins. i'm too shy and my brother who also does some of these videos never smiles in photos :D

  • Splendid song

  • i love this piece, too. thanks for your comment :D

  • what is this song?

  • wow im so happy a person who plays like you affords a good violin,.

some people dont apreciate music and own one of those

  • i play on a nice old german instrument, but it's not a very expensive violin. the violins that i play on these sound samples are part of a collection. i don't own them. its fun to get to play them, though :D

  • Omg, it's such a beautiful song! I really want the sheet music for it! :D

You have a beautiful violin :)

  • thanks. it is a beautiful piece. you might be able to find it online :D

  • ive got one that looks justlike that i dont play it was my great grandmothers made in hungary the wood the neck is made out of looks so cool

  • nice. i've played several old hungarian violins...they're always nice :D

  • nope. its paganinis canon for 30 mill

  • how much does one german violin cost? cheapest one.

  • hi, that's a tough question. i've seen german violins selling for anywhere between $500 and up depending on age, condition, maker, sound quality :D

  • Hi, I was wondering who made your violin? I have a German Strad copy as well, and these 11 years I owned it I know nothing of where my violin came from. Is your violin made in Mittenwald, Germany? My violin does not say who the luthier is just where it originated from.

  • oh well thank you for correcting me

  • Perfect!!

  • oooh, thanks so much :D

  • about 4 millions

  • what about the COPY ;)so no, couple thousand max

  • how much do they cost cause i want one?!

  • bout a million and up lol. The copy is obviously a lot cheaper

  • the most expensive violin in the world was the "lady tennant" and it was 2.3 million bucks

  • that was AMAZING!!!!

  • i wonna buy it

  • Stradivarius violin cost up to $1,000,000 or if your British 700,000 British pounds.

  • i cry when i here this

  • awesome

  • I like to play this when someone is complaining in my apartment.

  • Why don't you buy a piano and hammer the bass end?!

  • what year is yours? Cause mine is around 1850-1900 when germany was established.

  • hi. six months later, i don't remember. likely from the same period. wonderful german sound :D

  • true it has a very nice sound. I think ill post the sounds of my strad

  • hi. an old woman sold me a Stradivarius Violin in good condition and i want to know how much it cost and how can i know if it is a realy stradivarius.

  • ". . .i want to know how much it cost. . ."

Impossible to say without physically examining the instrument. If it is simply labeled Stradivarius it could be worth as little as 50 Euros or as much as 1500.

". . .how can i know if it is a realy stradivarius."

By bringing it to a local expert, but it is almost certainly a German or Czech reproduction.

  • hi, the simplest thing to do is to take the violin to a violin shop and as them. It is likely to be a copy of a Stradivarius of which there are many, but it may still be a nice violin. Almost every violinmaker, from almost every country...in almost every time period...has copied the original strads. some of these are now quite valuable, some less valuable. most of all, if you like the violin and it sounds good, it's priceless. good luck :D

  • wow.....it sounds GREAT! I almost have no words to describe the beauty of the sound...

  • Nice playing, but on video there's not much difference between a strad and any other quality violin. I wish I could here it in person.

  • *hear

  • you are an unbelieavably gifted artist. thank you for these videos.

  • wow...thanks so much!!!

  • so that is what a stradivarius violin sounds like

  • i wish it were; it's a nice copy, but i'm sure a real strad would elevate to another level completely.

  • Thank you, it was breathtaking. UR an amazing violinist and I look forward to your videos.

  • hi, thanks...i'll keep posting :D

  • Another fantastic performance. I love what you're doing here on Youtube!

  • thanks...glad you like the vids :D

  • que liiindo!!!!!!!!! very nice!!!

  • You play great, very nice violin =)

  • yeah, but a copy :(... Then again, a real one would be upwards of $Ridiculous$ and also quite rare

  • hi...thanks so much!!! it's a wonderful old german instrument with tons of power and resonance...loved playing it:D

  • very nice

  • thanks again :D

  • You play beautifully. The sound of your violin is amazing.

  • thanks so much!!! this is a wonderful instrument to play on:D

  • I really like the sound that you are making with the violin. Try to tune the octave B flats at the end. If you leave your first finger down as much as possible it will be easier to obtain better intonation throughout the entire piece (because you will have an anchor)

  • thanks for the tip...i'll try it :D

  • i love stradivarius violin....and this is an awesome piece, my dad used to play it but he doesnt have the sheet music anymore. do u know where i can get this??

  • hi...a few people have asked about this piece. i don't remember where i got it from, but i have it here somewhere. when i find it, i'll try to post it.

  • it's shining...

both the violin and the sound.

    love it.

  • hi...thanks so much. glad you liked the violin and the sound sample :D

  • Oh yeah, new strings work wonders. I'm curious, what strings do you prefer? I'm a Pirastro: Evah Pirazzi guy myself.

  • omg...that's so hard to answer. i'm not sure i've had enough time on any one brand to have a solid feeling about it. i mostly use infield reds with a pirastro gold e. i used to live the early vision titaniums, but the e string always sounds squeaky on them. now there are so many versions i don't know which is which. i've tried the Pirazzi's and liked them. so many strings, so little time :D

  • wow, i typed "live" instead of "like"...too late at night and too much homework!!!

  • Hahaha, I know it's hard to answer. I used to use the Infeld Reds but that Gold E squeaked to no end. My bow's lighter than most bows so it needs a more stable E string for staccato and stuff on it without squeaking and the gold one just wouldn't cooperate. They're great though. Have you tried gut-core before? By far my favorite...they just lose tune too easily!! X_X

Homework sucks, hope you got it and didn't stay up too late working on it! X_X

  • no, never tried gut core. are they better than synthetics? for me, its always a balance of sound quality and durability. i always heard the guts don't wear too long.

  • Well gut-core are my favorite sound. Nothing beats them. As for sound quality it's incredible and you can do ANYTHING with them. I brought out dynamics and sounds that were non-existent on synthetics. Durability is the issue...but supposedly this new type Pirastro put out, Passione, is supposed to be durable. I just put them on yesterday and so far I'm VERY impressed with them! I'll let you know if they are strong strings. How often do you change your strings?

  • Hmm...interesting violin. Not bad but I've liked a lot of the other violins better. It sounds kind of muted, maybe? ?_? Odd E peg too, it's shorter than the rest, ya?

  • hi...this is a really old instrument with really, really old strings--i think it should have been restrung before the sample because it has so much resonance--maybe we'll re-do it :D
