Je suis au lycée de port louis en option marine et nous venons souvent le mercredi après midi au cirfa , j'y est encore été aujourd'hui et donc cette fremm est toujours la-bas elle devait rentré vers 4h dans le port finalement elle est arrivé a 13h :( un peu degu de pas l'avoir vu s’amarrer maintenant c'est un beau petit bateau tout beau tout propre presque fini =)
Italian GP version of this frigate will be pretty amazing, with its 127/64 cannon with Volcano ammunition. Also, I heard all Italian ships will carry Aster 30 instead of Aster 15 like on French ships.
The French FREDA version does carry Aster 30, but seems to be lacking a long range search radar to complement the Herakles. It also carries only 32 missiles.
All in all pretty amazing high-tech ships, fully automated and very versatile. Anyone know what it uses for CIWS?
@flerrel Nope, Italian FREMM only has Aster 15, quindici is said in the video. It also only has 16 Sylver launchers while French has 32 for Aster 15 and SCALP Naval. The Herakles radar is AESA while EMPAR is PESA. Italy is working on Rocket Assist GPS shells for the SRF 76mm so your FREMMs will miss out.
What is this, Its a modern version of the Oliver Hazard Perry class. Its a simple ship. And you are coming with a radar range of 150 km. Thats awful. The Netherlands haves a radar that haves a range of 480 km. Thats 320 km more than your peace of shit. Bad armed. Is it not better to keep the old ships that you have in your navy.
@dennis5294 Version of the OHP? rofls... no. It is quite a bit more sophisticated than that. It comes with the worlds most advanced sonar, land attack cruise missiles and world's most advance SAM. The radar is Herakles with a range of 250km and 400 targets tracked. It is an AESA. FREMM is not a dedicated AAW destroyer, it is mutli-prupose frigate which can do far more and better armed than your junk.

Too many Greeks avoid taxes, 25-30% of GDP compared to 8% in France. If the gap can be closed the fiscal deficit will disappear with the austerity. Hellas is armed to prevent Turkish aggression. Just because it is financially difficult, the defence must be maintained. If not you might as well sell your islands to Turkey for a profit.

Money for jobs, the ships will be built at Elefsis Shipyards putting 10,000 Greeks to work. The yard will also be upgraded to build all of Hellas future warships. Deal with external debt by taxing those who avoid taxes.
