If you have a good case... allways closed, because the aerflow works normal, but you can let the case open too... remember: the dust is the kiler of the aerflow components, (cpu.cooler etc...) I personaly clean my computer sometimes... (2-3 times a year)...!

@uphill248 do you mean if it ever has been overclocked then answer is NO you cant find out , if you mean is it overclocked now? then check the clock speed if it is more then 3.3ghz then it is overclocked, or check bios for fsb and see is if it default.

You right, you can use two diferent memory type, but the system work in a lower one frequency... You can use anny memory you want... this mainboard is unic, can do the test of speed memory and makes work at maximum level... this mainboard is amaizing...!

Great parts, I have a very similar system actually. Honestly I cringed a little bit when I saw that you opted for the 5830, although perhaps you don't really need the extra Gpu horsepower, if so, then it's a very good card.

I'm running: Ph II 965 BE 3.4/4.1Ghz /8GB DDR3 1333/ Radeon HD4890. We probably perform nearly identical, I think maybe the extra memory bandwidth of the 4890 would push it ahead of the 5830, not enough to matter much tho.
