This is a great, great video. I feel the same way. To me, Youtube is the ultimate, most honest internet social net work that has beeen created. Mitch, if you look at the aims, constitution, and resolutions that the organisation that calls itself UTubia, your definition is quite misleading.
And curiously, UTubia is invisible hence philosophically doesn't exist except for in the minds of those few like you who talk about it: when a video comes into my inbox there is no way of me knowing if it comes from a channel that is subscribed to the UTubia constitution or not.
I noticed that after 18 months the 'UtubiaPresident' channel has only 848 subscribers from over 50 million plus YouTube channels. Without intending any disrespect to the miniscule community around that channel (< 0.001696 percent), after 18mths of elections et al it seems to have no significant impact - even 1 per cent would be insignificant yet it is a thousandth of that. When I pick up the phone I dont say "are you part of the telephone community" ~ when YT is ubiqutous 'UTubia' will be dead.

In making my remark I was not detracting from UTubia within its bounds - nor the contribution of it's members - to comment on it's size is not to detract, there is of course a difference between 'opinion' and 'discernment'.

Insofar as UTubia having other channels, by large it doesn't - these are people who have their own channels who are subscribed to a club that to the YT community at large is invisible: when a video arrives in my new videos there is nothing to say that it's channel owner subscribes to the UTubia constitution or not: furthermore, a significant amount of the channels existed prior to the notion of UTubia even being raised ~ those channels aren't evidence of UTubia or its growth, the already exist.
