@rzaeg6 you also gotta take into account how much more the 8cylinders weigh compared to 4cylinders, so sure, the little 4 cyl can almost keep up in a drag, but when it comes to 150mph and greater, who has the advantage? the 8 cylinder, because it can hit 150 and go beyond with ease compared to a 4cyl

the wheelie bar is to offset the weight transfer upon launch, when the car launches the weight transfers to the rear suspension, the wheelie bar keeps the rear from dipping more than an inch and in turn keeps weight in the front for traction. btw there are all motor hondas out there that have dipped into the 8 sec territory

@twistedreeds its all motor, but no top mount intercooler. Even tho to lots of people it may seem silly to have that hood scoop, its actually shooting air into the ITB's as the car moves. So in a way its smart..but ugly for a Honda. Tho i love all types of imports, i would never do that, even if i ran ITB's

youre right, but its not a wheelie bar. wheelie bars have 2 wheels on them, because they need to provide stability. this one only has 1 wheel, and im pretty sure its springier, and has tension on it even when the car is standing still. they look similar, but they are very different in design and purpose.
when high hp FWD cars take off, the weight transfers to the rear just like on our RWD cars. Not enough weight over the drive wheels=wheel spin. It helps in the same way, to aid in traction

That's not a wheelie bar, it may look like one, but it is a traction bar, and it helps resist the weight transfer at launch to the rear. It helps the front wheels have traction and it really helps with front-wheel drive launches.

because even with no load, revving it takes energy, and the wasted energy turns into heat. it wouldnt get it from ice cold to running temp, but itll help a bit.

Just curious why if it is all motor and not forced induction that you cant tune the injectors to run stoich?.... it is not like he is pumping 50 psi to the thing needing staged injectors or 12 injectors, etc... I mean what's the difference between this motor, and a 4cl that you will find in a stock civic? Is it just the rpms that the motor can handle that differenciate the two?
im guessing they may have raised the redline a bit, but i highly doubt they raised it more than 1k RPM. its mostly about shoving as much air as you can into the engine, and then making the most out of the air/fuel you have. for one, im guessing they increased compression, improved the intake (you wouldnt believe how restrictive stock intakes are), improved exhaust flow (or maybe just took off the exhaust system), and changed cam timing and lift (the stock cams are made for fuel efficiency)

the car weighs 1660lbs with driver in it its a 2.2L all motor that means no turbo no supercharger no spray is has gone 10.20 @133mph
Some people are asking about the scoop the scoop is for the itbs but we no longer use the scoop cause we made a custom ram air built around the itbs
For all the haters the only reason why you hate is cause your cars are not as fast and most of you are bench racers and internet racers

the wheelie bar is to offset the weight transfer upon launch, when the car launches the weight transfers to the rear suspension, the wheelie bar keeps the rear from dipping more than an inch and in turn keeps weight in the front for traction. btw there are all motor hondas out there that have dipped into the 8 sec territory

actually, the bar adds the equivalent of a hell of a lot more than 50. have you ever heard of weight transfer, redneck? that thing keeps more of the car's weight on the front wheels, and increases traction. its not a wheelie bar. in case you didnt notice, it only has one wheel on it, not 2

@twistedreeds its all motor, but no top mount intercooler. Even tho to lots of people it may seem silly to have that hood scoop, its actually shooting air into the ITB's as the car moves. So in a way its smart..but ugly for a Honda. Tho i love all types of imports, i would never do that, even if i ran ITB's

wow, ITS ALL MOTOR why would it have an intercooler. that scoop everyone is so stumped about is for the itb's if im not mistaken. and i would rather have an all motor honda over any pos sti. if i can run 10's without a turbo then HA! sti's NEED a turbo to go fast. horrible. i like sti's still though. just prefer hondas.

youre right, but its not a wheelie bar. wheelie bars have 2 wheels on them, because they need to provide stability. this one only has 1 wheel, and im pretty sure its springier, and has tension on it even when the car is standing still. they look similar, but they are very different in design and purpose.

when high hp FWD cars take off, the weight transfers to the rear just like on our RWD cars. Not enough weight over the drive wheels=wheel spin. It helps in the same way, to aid in traction

That's not a wheelie bar, it may look like one, but it is a traction bar, and it helps resist the weight transfer at launch to the rear. It helps the front wheels have traction and it really helps with front-wheel drive launches.

so let me guess.. you think that reving it up 30 times in 20sec. is just gonna bring it up to temp before bouncing off the rev limiter? you dont even seem to know what a load is! a load on the engine you genius will help bring up the temps much faster.. yes when he burned out that was a full load with high revs.. and will have warmed up the engine some.. but it is uncesesarry to rev it up so many times.. and then rev it like 15 more times before launching.. he is just what us expierineced drag

I aint tryin to dis ya... you are a great driver with a sweet car!!! if your motor turns off because of not reving it... try raising the idle some... you obviously have an agressive cam in it that doesnt like to idle.. hearing your own car perform is the shit.. just so you know reving it up wont warm it up significantly before burning out.... the burnout is what will bring your car more up to temp.... IM2QWK4U is not right! Keep up the great racing!

because even with no load, revving it takes energy, and the wasted energy turns into heat. it wouldnt get it from ice cold to running temp, but itll help a bit.

Just curious why if it is all motor and not forced induction that you cant tune the injectors to run stoich?.... it is not like he is pumping 50 psi to the thing needing staged injectors or 12 injectors, etc... Obviously whoever tunes this car.. gets it to run like a mean SOB but with that in mind why cant it idle.. i heard it idle for a few when he decided to quit reving and it sounded fine.. When running a cam like that it is common to idle at about 3krpm.

im guessing they may have raised the redline a bit, but i highly doubt they raised it more than 1k RPM. its mostly about shoving as much air as you can into the engine, and then making the most out of the air/fuel you have. for one, im guessing they increased compression, improved the intake (you wouldnt believe how restrictive stock intakes are), improved exhaust flow (or maybe just took off the exhaust system), and changed cam timing and lift (the stock cams are made for fuel efficiency)
