You would-be racers can say what you like about Jimmy's driving tactics, but realize that majority of the drivers that ran up front at the stadium used those tactics ever since the track was built. And to add to that, 600+ horsepower on a high-banked 1/3 mile track - I'd like to see you people keep the wheel straight let alone your front bumper ;)
i totally agree with you, my dad used to drive a M.A.D car at Wally World in the 97jr car, then in the black and gold 0 car about 8 years after he had to sell the other one, he was really good at driving, but i could barely control a Bandelero car XD and those things are tiny.
i was ther eand i loved how everyone booed showtime and cheered for matty, jimmy sucks and shouldnt be in a car that was pete britians race!, if that was a nascar car race they would have parked him for almost flipping the 11 but sense its his home track, favorites
hey, its racing guys. You love or Hate drivers. Honestly, Showtime is a cool guy and he does what everyone wants, and that is go for a win. With the cost of things, the show gets taken away by drivers not taking chances. Jimmy takes the chances and puts the show on for people. Whenever you race, your risking something, thats the way it is guys. btw, if anyone has watched races close, they would know that there was more than just jimmy doing those moves.
You either love Jimmy or hate him but everyone knows him. He is a great driver with heart and dedication to the sport. He puts on a show that no one forgets and isnt that the reason we watch racing. Jimmy keep up the great racing.
I was there and it was an exciting race. But in my opinion Jimmy Blewett is a bully and beat his way to the front. Not a classy way or an honorable way to win. That's why he'll never be more than a modified racer. No cup team would touch that kind of driver. Hero/Villan...what is this an EA Sports NASCAR game?

That rocks??!! If someone did to Jimmy what he did to Weichert he would probably jump through the passenger window and try to kick the sh*& out of them. Oops I guess that already happened last year didn't it. I guess if your logic is correct that would make Flockert rock too wouldn't it.
First of all, last year was entirely different situation for many reasons. He was retiring his brother JBIII's car and Flockert was a family friend, which made it that much worse. Each race and each situation is different, so no comparison there. Plus, this is Wall Stadium not Cup cars. If you have been to Wall over the years and have any experience w/watching Modifieds there, Jimmy didn't do anything that the Reeds and many other of the winning drivers have done to get to the front.

The way he drove was complete bullshit, he tried running someone into the fence during practice, put someone into the turn three wall, and then about hit every time damn thing except the pace car that was in his way. He got what he fucking deserved during the sk race.
Jimmy won more races in asphalt racing this year than other Modified driver. Not too shabby! Plus, I saw Wiechert loose on the backstretch w/no one around him, so to me he didn't look like he could or knew how to control his car with or without someone on his bumper.
