Iraq was not a mistake. There were mistakes in conducting the war (like not preparing sufficiently for the insurgency and post war governing), but overall Bush made the right call. It is fortunate that he had the fortitude to do the right thing with the surge and win the war before leaving office.

Iraq was not a mistake. There were mistakes in conducting the war (like not preparing sufficiently for the insurgency and post war governing), but overall Bush made the right call. It is fortunate that he had the fortitude to do the right thing with the surge and win the war before leaving office.

But Egypt and Tunisia did; Tunisia received police units from France, and Egypt's weapons used on protesters were all American. America only came clean when the dictators were doomed. I would just like to point something out to all you America bashers: WE didn't elect Bush. The electoral college did. He lost the popular vote both times, but he got the right states to get elected anyway. You see boys and girls, we only have the illusion of a choice in America.

Russia was moving to take over a free peoples in afghanistan and the only thing to do was either not do anything (which wasn't an option), or supply the people who were being invaded. They didn't want our military help, just logistical help. You tell me how you would have handled this.

The Afghani's weren't a free people, they were under a communist dictatorship, supported by Russia. The resistance, supported by the US, were Islamic militants, who became the Taliban dictatorship. Freedom comes from the inside out, not the outside in, America needs to learn that! This carefree attitude towards honesty poisons our culture. Politicians get to spout ridiculous BS every day and rarely get called on it. Why is it that a comedy show, The Daily Show, does a far better job of exposing people than the mainstream news? If CNN and the like showed some of those same clips it would destroy many of the worst offenders. Instead they treat them with respect, when they should be feasting on their carcasses.

I served 2 tours in Iraq and witnessed first hand on how these so called freedom fighters treat these innocent Iraqi civilians, hiding weapons in their home, fighting us from inside their houses so if innocent lives r lost we get the blame, using them and kids as human shields... Look some of these muslims don't care for themselves or those innocent civilians, they strap themselves with explosives and blow themselves up in busy market places and who gets the blame we do..
