I will admit, "Fish copulate in water!" made me laugh, once....
but na, not all that great. Reminds me of the "Hurrah! It's Christopher Hitchens Hour" pretend CBBC sketch on the last series of That Mitchell and Webb sound...
If someone thinks this is not funny, that's one thing. If you think this is offensive, come on. There's much worse shit thrown at him in many blogs and articles. Get some perspective.
However, as a father myself who shares similar beliefs to those of Christopher Hitchens, I must say that if this was done about me - I would find this highly offensive.
Christopher has a daughter, and I am quite sure he is a more than excellent father, despite having a penchant for drinking. I understand the satire, but this piece may have crossed the line, in terms of decency.
Unjustly criticizing one's ability to parent is disgraceful.
Though I do agree it was rediculous and a bit hilarious, they are attacking a man who is quite obviously a bit of a drinker, and a parent of a younger woman.
The message that came across to me was more they are ciritcizing him being a parent who is a drunk, than satirizing his beliefs.
I'm not saying it wasn't funny, it's just... as a parent I could see how this bit might be offensive. Though I do know Hitchens is far from sensitive.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 So much win in this video. I would totally have the Hitchen babysit my kids (whenever the hell I have a few)

If the accent would have been done properly it could be pretty good.

The accent kept slipping into North American every five seconds :)

Funny. There is some nice writing going on here, even if not all the jokes hit. The scenario just works.

Hitchens has spent his life defending the right to offend others and to be offended.

@Billings. Nothing disgraceful in this. Too ridiculous to have crossed any line.
Lighten up.

I don't know, though. I think I disagree.
