Buckhole for one thing he already did that once. No one third party gets nominated in a 2 party caucus system. Our country is not a democracy it is a limited republic.
I laughed when the guy said Ron Paul won some straw poll, as if that matters. Straw polls are like the internet -- easy for a small, energetic minority to manipulate the outcome.
Real elections are harder to win, though. I know you guys love Ron, but he lost. Now that the process is over, if you want to be a Republican, you can support McCain. Political parties are teams. Sometimes you don't win the internal squabbles, but if you want to be on the team, you have to act like it.
dear ad0304s: I hope your very old like your views. You don't HAVE to vote for a party or be loyal to a party like its some hometown football team. I hate to tell you but Ron Paul supporters are most likely voting for Obama or writing in Ron Paul & some are probaly moving. A bit extreme but true. Political parties aren't "teams" and politics shouldn't be considered a game but it is, & the dice are loaded. Was ur plan to watch this, "laugh" at RP supporters, & then try to get them to vote McCain?
Political partys are not teams they are principles. To think that people are playing this as a game is a real stupid reason to justify the endgame of the political partys with reguards of who wins and loses. At the end the people of the united states wins or looses. A real republican cannot support a candidate who is more against the republican platform than he is for it.
actually the straw polls are very important. Many of the states base their number of delegates strictly on the straw polls from super Tuesday. The caucus in MN is not anything like a regular election. You simply write a name on a piece of paper and then if you want to be a delegate you volunteer. 40% of the delegates at this state convention were Paul supporters. That's NOT a small minority of delegates.
Marianne was being very sweet and kind when she said "less than savory" tactics. hehe

Only Ron Paul is not a CFR member, and holds the true values of freedom and liberty.
ron paul never had a chance because he is a foreign policy pantywaist. Americans would never elect someone so effeminate like ron paul. Americans just said "no" to ron paul because he is a "girlie man". Get over it paultards.
Dr. Paul is a kind gentle soul who has good manners and intellect. He is not only a doctor but he has studied the constitution and finance to a level where he makes the chairman of the federal reserve look like a total dunce on a regular basis
kind? hahaha! ron ia a billionaire SO, what has he done for, or even plans to do in the fight against poverty in America ? absolutely nothing! hes fighting FOR poverty homelessness and deterioration of the human condition, and you call him KIND! wow! KIND should sue paul for defamation of character.
I love how paultards trot out the "ron paul is a doctor" line when someone questions ron paul or his policies. Howard Dean is a doctor and look at what a whack job he is. What is sad sad sad is all the people "Doctor" paul ripped off. By the way MrsSarb, how many states did "Doctor" paul win? How many delegates does "Doctor" paul have? I have heard he has 12 or maybe a whopping 17 depending on who you ask. whoop de doo, time for a paultard party! Look out McLame!
Apparently you have no clue. Dr. Paul is a physician. Whos hobby is economics. And has been in congress over 10 terms. He's no spring chicken. And he's crazy like a fox in classic terms. And the more people who find out about him like him more. But thanks to the media there are still people in my town that never heard of him. And the local press refuse to publish anything about him.
Are you telling me your impressed by a "10 term" congressman? That is a long time to be sucking on the public tit. Ron Paul is not covered by the media because very few people voted for him in the primary. When did the media last do a story on chris dodd, mike gravel, or any of the other losers?
Maybe you dont remember the primary. Ron Paul had higher percentage of votes than Guiliani. And he was erased from the polls. Public votes dont pick the candidates. The media does. and so who the media decides to pick that all americans see. And the media is controlled by corporate interest groups. The media is a monopoly now owned my rupert murdock. There was no equal time for any of those other candidates. Including Ron Paul. Its rigged.
Ron Paul had a higher percentage of votes than Guiliani? So what. I do agree with you that ron paul was erased from the polls BY THE AMERICAN VOTERS. I do remember the primaries. Ron Paul rarely reached double digits meaning most American voters rejected ron paul. I like how paultards are the only people who "get it" and the rest of america is "controlled" by corporate interest groups. Squirlbutt, your tin foil hat is on too tight.
The fact that fox, msn and all the networks did not show that and erased his name before any could know who he was. Doesnt mean american voters didnt reject him. It means the networks were biased against him. They even admitted that they thought their polls were being hacked and took them down. And a lot of people showed on ytube by demo that you couldnt vote more than once. Your birdbrain couldnt handle the tin hat.
ron paul lost because he is a wackjob. Paultards, quit blaming the "networks", the c.f.r. or the easter bunny. Squirlbutt, ron paul lost. He did not even come close. Get over it.
The term wackjob came from the networks. So it proves my point. And if you do not have the intelligence to know better. Just means your an ignorant media sheep. And you probably buy whatever they advertise. Tell me what do you know of independent runners? Nothing!!! Because they have no corporate sponsors. Until the people nominate someone at nationals he hasnt lost yet. The race isnt finished.
Liberman was expunged by his own voters. Only NeoCons kept his sorry carcass going. Ron Paul is the ONLY conservative Republican Voice this year. Mr McBush is a Looser. NeoCons are going to get a spanking by the American people for their betrayal of the Constution and the Bill of Rights.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I get this from paultards alot. "he actually returns a PORTION of his pay to the government" The problem is he does not do ANYTHING as a congressman. This was told to me by one of your fellow paultards. So sign ME up for this deal. Give me a shitload of TAXPAYER MONEY for doing NOTHING, I will give a small portion back to the government and you fricking retards can call me a "patriot".
He has done plenty as congressman in keeping corruption in check in congress. And if he doesnt spend our taxmoney then it is not wasted. It's the notion that 40% of taxpayers supporting 60% of the people is reason why socialism and communism ideals fail. If your economy crashes so does your job market and more people are on the welfare wagon. The heart of the issues is money and foreign policy. Root cause of all the problems. which needs to be fixed first. who else is addressing this? not McBama
Actually he does plenty of good work for the people. He has sponsored a lot of very good legislation but the parties don't work with him to get the legislation passed. That's why he needs the support of voters who are active and paying attention to what he is doing and then get on the politicians to support his ideals.
all that anyone asked for was a fair process. There were MANY MANY old school Republicans that attended this state convention who were really upset about how the election of delegates was handled. I'm sorry that you are such a sad individual that you find it necessary to ridicule people rather than talk about real issues. Unfortunately that has become the standard of political discourse these days. I personally do not believe in voting on "popularity". Dr. Paul is an honorable politician.
No problem. We are going to use some less than savory tactics on John McCain to throw it to Obama. Google McCain + Songbird. John McCain "sang" to his Vietnamese captors in return for better treatment. Everyone knows he graduated 4th from the bottom. Actually it was 5th, but we would prefer to make him correct us! McCain has a terrible temper, and we will help him lose it on video. Campaign sign: John McCain: it's not just Alzheimer's (he's always been stupid).
That is great news! Where did you here this from? It's not the same people who plan to march from July 4th each day until the 12th? I think our fellow humans in the U.K., France etc. understand how we feel at this time and EVERY BIT is appreciated! Also, I must say I'm pretty F'ing tired of justifying my reasons for my faith in OUR constitution to every angry naysayer who needs to WAKE UP and get real about the abuse and secretiveness of the Elites. It's not going to stop until we stop it!
Republicans must be pretty stupid to think a person that has looked at the issues and endorses Ron Paul would ever vote for John McCain, won't happen.
Bretton Woods is the globalists new government that is taking over the US de-facto. Let's concentrate of this treaty to discover that in accordace with article 6 of this fascist treaty, the sovereignty of the US was surrendered to this foreign power. They replaced political governance with socio-econometrics which is a sophisticated way of ruling by economic dictatorship via the corporation as a front. Abolish Bretton Woods and restore the monetary system under the control of the US.
We have to get organized with what we plan to do though. Are we going to vote for Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party or are we voting for the Constitution Party? Our strength as Ron Paul supporters has always been our ability to ORGANIZE. We must again organize to vote for the candidate who most closely represents our views. Hopefully after McCain loses the election, the Republican Party will actually go back to being conservative. Until then, I say we make them lose every election!
Today i do wha´t i can do to help you out in ypour fight for liberty.
Ive been writing News papers/tv stations ect ect in case i feelt there was any censorship.
Anyways thats how i feel i can contribute, since i live in another country.
I will also encourage my fellow americans that support ron paul, never to stop, even after the election is over, this is just the beginning!!! The war has just begun, dont be afraid, stand tall and united!!!
I have to say, that Ron Paul delegate from Minnesota answered that question about voting for McCain like a mature, gentleman! He could have easily told them that we DO NOT plan on voting for McCain just because he's the Republican candidate and DOES NOT represent CONSERVATIVE principals. The Republican party has to be scared shit right now. The Bush administration caused a decrease in the size of the Republican Party, and now we have TRUE CONSERVATIVES who will not vote for McCain! LOVE IT!
Constitution Party 2008: Chuck Baldwin for President. Chuck Baldwin is a huge Ron Paul supporter, and campagined for him in many early primary states. We, including Dr. Baldwin, want Ron Paul for President, but I think it is important to set up an infrastructure around Chuck Baldwin, incase Dr. Paul does not get the nomination. Remember, Bob Barr voted for the Patriot Act.
They hate Ron Paul because he is against the Federal Reserve. If he won they would kill him. I think the muslims should do us a favor and cut all the bankers throats.
It's hilarious how folks don't get it. The man is the only candidate who upholds his oath of office. The media did a wonderful job of brainwashing folks into thinking Dr. Paul is a nut.
Ron Paul is the best because he is an ANTI-fascist! Unlike the others, Ron Paul likes freedom and is the only real, American candidate on the ticket. Read the constitution and then decide.
I'm a RP supporter, and I agree that many of his supporters have alienated many potential supporters. I suggest that we stay passionate, but lose the hatefulness toward others. I know, it's easier said than done.
And what the heck does "delusional elitism" have to do with the Paul campaign?
To all the liberty-minded people out there. IF you want to change the rep. party, become a majority of the delegates at your state's conventions. The purpose of the district, state, & national conventions are to select the party's candidate & to make party platform amendments. In the meantime, join the local republican party committee. It makes all the convention's rules (which have been inhibitive to change of any kind to the platform) Get involved beyond just voting!
Ohioguy7: A lot of RP followers are young and naive, and lots of others are recent converts from the Republican mainstream. They're good people, but they think the GOP can be "taken over from within".
I was seated as an alternate on Friday morning. All I have to say is this convention was a slap in the face to democracy an absolute sham! These party leaders need to go they are worse than the mafia. Everyone out there needs to vote against these dishonest unpatriotic dictators! America needs to wake up now!
This points to a larger problem in the Republican party. I usu vote republican, but consider myself Libertarian, like the old school republicans, Goldwater & such.
When you disregard your own rules to silence dissent you have already slid way to far down that slippery slope.
It is time for the Libertarians and other "Third" parties to split off from traditional parties & become a real force for change in America.
I am a 44 year old Latin man. I was born on a air force base. I am a home owner, self employed, with a wife and three sons. I am a moderate conservative and I will vote for Obama
The 'Majority' wants to shut up the 'Minority'. It is the same here in Europe, where tyranny reigns supreme. It's the dictatorship of the Majority - built on sheeple stupored by the MSM.
Go Ron Paul, you are our hero! The Revolution is here to stay - worldwide!
I'm a Republican & Ron Paul supporter & I've seen the McCain group screw Ron Paul out of delegates in state after state after state -- so when the McCain people come to me later asking me to support McCain, I have only 2 words for them:
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Obama wrote his his book "Dreams of my Father"
"I never emulate white men AND BROWN MEN whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself..".
Obama is a racist towards whites AND LATINOS.
Obama does not care about the fate of white AND LATINOS.
Being 'black' means nothing. His white mother's white parents raised him and they had money. He attended an Ivy League school predominantly white. He joined the Council on Foreign relations, which is the root of elitism. Seriously, you do not know anything that is going on and should not be allowed to vote.
Just a suggestion. I agree with Obama about 30% of the time, McCain about 40% of the time, and Ron Paul about 95% of the time. I agree with Bobb Barr about 90% of the time. That's good enough for my vote, even though I have some issues with him.
Barr voted against marriage equality as well.
We each have to decide what our threshold is. If we require 100% agreement to cast any vote, then we never would.
Barr would certainly be a better choice for Ron Paul supporters than McCain would.
Barack is the opposite of Ron Paul. Consider the libertarian party or the constitution party. Barr's not a lifelong libertarian, but he is now. If only Paul was the libertarian candidate. But really, if you are not happy with any, don't vote. There's nothing wrong with that. This movement to push voting has resulted in idiotic voting behavior.
Unfortunately, Ron Paul does not even acknowledge that the Supreme Court has jurisdiction over state courts. In other words he is a Constitutionally illiterate imbecile. If people like him were in charge, we'd still be discussing the merits of slavery.
hmm, i seem to be the only person here who agrees w/ you. ron paul = neoconfederate populist shitball.
Ron Paul fans pathetically SUCK. They babble incoherently about POWER TO THE PEOPLE but the vast majority of people are apparently the very "sheeple" they label stupid.
JertheAraluan: Nope, they don't. You don't know anything about what you are talking about. Read more about the real Ron Paul movement before you spew.
Our gov't is no longer representative of the people. It represents to corporate will which is less than 1/100th of 1% of Americans. Are you saying you agree with that? If you do you then confirm that you are one of the sheep being led to slaughter.... BAAAAHHHHHH!
It represents to corporate will because of the people. We are lazy voters who only vote for the well-known or well-covered candidates. We don't have to keep voting for these corporate-accomodating congressman and presidents, but we do. It's sad. All because we're too lazy to do the research ourselves about ALL the candidates and too cowardly to vote our voice.
Pretty appaling that you're 37 but naive enough to fall for libertarianism, whether RP has some good ideas or not. Pick up a history book. I though Canadians knew better. Guess not. The populist disease spreads...
I dont care if they are libertarian or not as long as they are not CFR and want the one world order, and as long as the persone is not controlled by the one world order wanabees that where not elected by any means.
McCain is CFR, Obaba is CFR, and Clinton is CFR. They will just be puppets for the eleat.
You're not supporting a candidate, you're worshiping your new Messiah. RP is a do-nothing rep, a white-supremacist and would-be fascist. I'd say "wake up," but you morons have overused that line.
I'll say this, though. You morons are more fun to pick on than the 9/11 truthers. They're just boring anymore.
A lot of people did, and though Barr had a very far right voting record, he claimed to have turned around. He is not Ron Paul, but at least I have another option.
You are a moron!Wht do you know he is not a white supremist i fact it is impossible to be a libertarian and be racist! What are u besides a brainwashed jackass that believes what they are told to!It is people like you that are destoying America! You know shit and shouldn't be allowed to have children!Who do you support and why!
He is NOT a racist. But you know what, I consider it a good sign that people have to make up bullcrap about him because that shows that he truly DOES make those who are less scrupulous nervous. That's when you know you are actually making people nervous is when they begin to make all kinds of false accusations with no real foundation. It's really a rather routine thing in politics. When you begin to talk about something of substance come back to the debate.
if having more knowledge then others about politics is elitism.... then im an elitist. i cant believe you think that supporters of paul are elitist while mccian needs support from rich elitest. ironic paul supporters dont care what you believe they just believe in the message of freedom and if you dont BUY into that then im sorry for you. yeah you can have a debates about certain issues but thats what paul is bringing not just some crap from the bs express.
also poeple do need to wake up if they blindly follow some who says thier for chang, without knowing anything about thier polices AND how theyll work or not
"They don't want him to speak because they know he has more support than we all know"
Oh haven't you got it YET! HE DOESN'T! He has the support of a small number of internet-savvy 20-somethings, plus a smattering of beguiled libertarians. As the primary votes showed... THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
This isn't about winning, it is about waking the sheeple that the secrecy and corruption is unprecedented and destroying our country. It is about trying to shift the power in the GOP that doesn't represent the people anymore. It is about affecting lasting change in the party that will survive just this election.
Why are so many afraid of that? If the course of action isn't working it's time for a new direction.
This contest is beyond just a primary. The gap in difference between numbers of Ron Paul delegates to McCain's is far less than compared to the votes in the primaries. For instance, at my county caucus, Ron Paul supporters outnumbered McCain's and we ended up winning a slate (or list) of all Ron Paul delegates to go to the district and state conventions. So to make it clear, from my county, there were NO McCain delegates seated. Ron Paul is still a candidate and should be treated fairly.
It makes me sick how everyone is treating Ron Paul. If people had brains they would know that he is the President we should have to restore our Constitutional Republic!
The Republican party is in crisis with the neocons who ARENT REALLY CONSERVATIVE taking over. The ron paul revolution is going to save conservativism in America but only if we KEEP TAKING ACTION!!!
Good video. The cell phone was annoying. My question is does this stuff even matter with the Dems prodicted to win in a landslide? I liked Ron Paul but he's too smart for the general public. I'm going for Obama. I do like Ron Paul stance on the FRB.
Imagine if the majority of the delegates that go to the convention turn out to be Ron Paul supporters. Actually it could be a reality because McCain does not inspire many people to volunteer to be delegates at the county and state levels.
Only on YouTube can I get footage such as this. Thank God for YouTube. Where's some of the real footage though of the event and the debacle that occurred.
haveing watched this video an Obama n Paul ticket who be very hmnnnnnnnnn interesting. I actually like alot ..Obama gets out of Iraq and Ron Paul gets the congress to work on the for us again that wouls be amazing. what do you guys think
Obama is a statist. He believes the solutions to all human problems reside within the federal government. Ron Paul believes in individual liberty and limited government.
LOL Obama says he'll get out of Iraq but go into Afghanistan.. Whats the difference. Now he is tootin his horn to attack Iran. The puppetmasters have him trained well.. The only hope he has is hoping your stupid enough to fall for it.
I encourage all RP supporters to converge on the Republican Convention this Fall and MAKE themselves heard. Because this country needs to get the message, most of all the neo-con republicans.
now I dont get out much however it seems to me that alot of ppl were for ron paul just ppl I talk to around me (family, friends and associates), I honestly thought the GOP nomination would go to romney huckabee or guilani. John McCain really did come out of left field. I never thought Ron Paul would get the nom. like I hoped he would
unsavory tactics from the GOP? Thanks captain obvious.

balddove 3 years ago
You forgot to mention that he served 6 years with the USAF and also has written several good books on economics. How did he rip off people anyway?
dj1067 3 years ago 2
Apparently you have no clue. Dr. Paul is a physician. Whos hobby is economics. And has been in congress over 10 terms. He's no spring chicken. And he's crazy like a fox in classic terms. And the more people who find out about him like him more. But thanks to the media there are still people in my town that never heard of him. And the local press refuse to publish anything about him.
Squirelbutt 3 years ago
Are you telling me your impressed by a "10 term" congressman? That is a long time to be sucking on the public tit. Ron Paul is not covered by the media because very few people voted for him in the primary. When did the media last do a story on chris dodd, mike gravel, or any of the other losers?
balddove 3 years ago
Maybe you dont remember the primary. Ron Paul had higher percentage of votes than Guiliani. And he was erased from the polls. Public votes dont pick the candidates. The media does. and so who the media decides to pick that all americans see. And the media is controlled by corporate interest groups. The media is a monopoly now owned my rupert murdock. There was no equal time for any of those other candidates. Including Ron Paul. Its rigged.
Squirelbutt 3 years ago
Ron Paul had a higher percentage of votes than Guiliani? So what. I do agree with you that ron paul was erased from the polls BY THE AMERICAN VOTERS. I do remember the primaries. Ron Paul rarely reached double digits meaning most American voters rejected ron paul. I like how paultards are the only people who "get it" and the rest of america is "controlled" by corporate interest groups. Squirlbutt, your tin foil hat is on too tight.
balddove 3 years ago
The fact that fox, msn and all the networks did not show that and erased his name before any could know who he was. Doesnt mean american voters didnt reject him. It means the networks were biased against him. They even admitted that they thought their polls were being hacked and took them down. And a lot of people showed on ytube by demo that you couldnt vote more than once. Your birdbrain couldnt handle the tin hat.
Squirelbutt 3 years ago
ron paul lost because he is a wackjob. Paultards, quit blaming the "networks", the c.f.r. or the easter bunny. Squirlbutt, ron paul lost. He did not even come close. Get over it.
balddove 3 years ago
The term wackjob came from the networks. So it proves my point. And if you do not have the intelligence to know better. Just means your an ignorant media sheep. And you probably buy whatever they advertise. Tell me what do you know of independent runners? Nothing!!! Because they have no corporate sponsors. Until the people nominate someone at nationals he hasnt lost yet. The race isnt finished.

I get this from paultards alot. "he actually returns a PORTION of his pay to the government" The problem is he does not do ANYTHING as a congressman. This was told to me by one of your fellow paultards. So sign ME up for this deal. Give me a shitload of TAXPAYER MONEY for doing NOTHING, I will give a small portion back to the government and you fricking retards can call me a "patriot".
balddove 3 years ago
He has done plenty as congressman in keeping corruption in check in congress. And if he doesnt spend our taxmoney then it is not wasted. It's the notion that 40% of taxpayers supporting 60% of the people is reason why socialism and communism ideals fail. If your economy crashes so does your job market and more people are on the welfare wagon. The heart of the issues is money and foreign policy. Root cause of all the problems. which needs to be fixed first. who else is addressing this? not McBama
Squirelbutt 3 years ago 5
Actually he does plenty of good work for the people. He has sponsored a lot of very good legislation but the parties don't work with him to get the legislation passed. That's why he needs the support of voters who are active and paying attention to what he is doing and then get on the politicians to support his ideals.

Are you sure they didn't mean he didn't vote yes on anything?

all that anyone asked for was a fair process.
MrsSarb 3 years ago

Constitution Party 2008: Chuck Baldwin for President. Chuck Baldwin is a huge Ron Paul supporter, and campagined for him in many early primary states.

Has the Republican Party ever allowed real differences? Not since Teddy R., it has moved away from Lincoln and towards a slick neo-dictatorship.
Was Goldwater fan when young, but saw too much hate and disrespect towards opponents, esp. from GOP leadership.
Even Barry later moved away from right wing nuts. But Bush-Cheney-McCain are control freaks, and that's dangerous to liberty.

This points to a larger problem in the Republican party. I usu vote republican, but consider myself Libertarian, like the old school republicans, Goldwater & such.
When you disregard your own rules to silence dissent you have already slid way to far down that slippery slope.
It is time for the Libertarians and other "Third" parties to split off from traditional parties & become a real force for change in America.

utubesucks2003 3 years ago 2
Just a suggestion. I agree with Obama about 30% of the time, McCain about 40% of the time, and Ron Paul about 95% of the time. I agree with Bobb Barr about 90% of the time. That's good enough for my vote, even though I have some issues with him.
Barr voted against marriage equality as well.
We each have to decide what our threshold is. If we require 100% agreement to cast any vote, then we never would.
Barr would certainly be a better choice for Ron Paul supporters than McCain would.

Don't you think?
86thefed 3 years ago 2
This contest is beyond just a primary. The gap in difference between numbers of Ron Paul delegates to McCain's is far less than compared to the votes in the primaries. For instance, at my county caucus, Ron Paul supporters outnumbered McCain's and we ended up winning a slate (or list) of all Ron Paul delegates to go to the district and state conventions. So to make it clear, from my county, there were NO McCain delegates seated. Ron Paul is still a candidate and should be treated fairly.
