By the way, if you guys are discussin about who really owns that sampler/music, it´s not kanye or Daft Punk. Edwin Birdsong´s "Cola Bottle Baby" is the original music that Daft Punk used as a sampler, and Kanye did what rappers do all the time, used Daft Punk´s version as another sampler. It says on daft punks official page that they and kanye appeared together for a grammy's performance. i assume then that kanye revived rights usage and permission for the sounds used, and most likely paid handsomely for them. as much as i dislike kanye for his conduct, you can't dis him for using samples because roughly 30 percent of daft punks tracks are disco or other samples. its the creative vision and observation of sound and song that defines musical genius.
