thats probably because your concentrated on doing everything else, you cant quite figure the other.

when i play. i just kinda forget what im doing on everything and focus on the most difficult piece for that particular point of the song

another thing you could do to help you, is try just doing the base, then add on your other hands.

also, you may just work on your foot.

its frustrating, but i would almost guarantee that you are trying to play stuff that you lack the muscle dexterity to do. The 8th notes should be second nature, once the 8th notes are down easy, then the foot work, and the snare will all sort of just fall into place. (this guy isnt a very good drummer, he doesn't LISTEN to whats going on, he is just too busy pounding away.)
