  • Ouch this looks very dangerous in terrible weather. Hope the Belgian was OK.

  • This is madness....

  • I love Agility.

    But this is horrible.

It is to wet to do Agility.

Everything could happend with the dogs.

    For example a broken leg.

  • WHAT A BUNCH OF IDIOTS THESE PEOPLE ARE! I GUESS THE COST OF TRAVEL, AND ENTRIES OUTWEIGHED THE SAFETY OF THE DOGS.

  • @1ebob LOL.

  • We do agree on this point: I am sure dogs are having fun anyway, I don't doubt that. The only problem I see in this video is safety.I don't think there are so many crashes in normal conditions,it is obvious that the dogs can't jump properly out of all the mud, it is too slippery.

  • #LOL Ta ho dobře srazila. Jsou nějaký +body za to, když sejmete soupeřova psa? :P

Ale trapné jerty stranou. Když vidim, jak si to ty chlupáči užívaj, som z teho voľaký namäkko. :)

  • plz songs , predem diky za rychlou odpoved...

  • @zdepa93 pirati z karibiku 01 - Pirates, Day One, 4-56AM

  • Thanks, BlahGolfIV! So dangerous...

  • Tak tohle je super video... Fakt paráda, hrozně se mi líbí, napínavé, prostě parádní.

  • To je tak trapně napínavé.

  • stupid dogs

  • @fghfhg1212121

Lol its more like Stupid Humans...

  • dobre faily xD

  • Very nice video. Dogs loves agility :)

  • snif i hope the dogeys will be alright

  • Why do you post all the fails, this is an awesome sport of comunication and relationship between the human and the dog, were dogs have lots of fun, and now you make it look like if it's bad or dangerous for them, and it is not :-(

  • @fitobcnfito all? first? :) pls wait for the final 30min+ video.. this is only trailer

  • @BlahGolfIV Looking forward to it :-)

  • slow motion animal abuse!

  • slow motion = cheap drama and poor editing.

  • Beautiful!

  • Whats so dangerous about this.........Am i missing something?????

  • I saw 4 dogs in this video. One took off too early resulting in a crash, same thing happens all the time in good conditions. One a handler tripped over, same thing happens in good conditions. And one slid in a splash of water and mud, something they do all the time when out for a run in the rain. And one came out of a wet chute and had no traction problems. Am I missing something that everyone is in such an uproar about? My dogs love to run and play in the rain and mud.

  • @Malerman2 Yes, you missed a lot.

  • Have you ever seen really athletic dogs play with each other in the rain and mud? They can be brutal but boy, do they have fun.

It was interesting because as I watched the video I saw something completely different........amazing athletes struggling to be the very best they can be in challenging conditions.......to feel alive and to struggle and perservere.......can't get much better in my books for people or dogs. Amazing video, loved the slow mo and music!

  • @wyndrunhr When dogs are playing in mud they have a choice, this is not about choice. And we're not even seeing their attempts to do contact obstacles when they're paws are coated with mud. The idea that they're "amazing athletes struggling to be the best they can be. . . " bah. That's just romanticizing awful conditions and worse choices by humans.

  • I would never compete in conditions like that!

    Poor dogs & idiotic owners!

  • So dangerous... I hope no human or dog was hurt!

  • @AgilityMalamute dog no, human yes :(

  • @BlahGolfIV

I am very sad to hear this.

  • So, the organizers tried to deal with the situation?? Why was that ring, if it was the worse, SHUT DOWN ? No injuries to the dogs? I find that a little hard to believe as these dogs are running hard. Adrenalin vs pain - who wins, no brainer here. As for the handlers that chose to run their partner in an unsafe environment, that goes without saying but I'll say it anyways - pathetic :(

  • The couse was not appropriate for the wheather conditions (I ran jumping in the last group and it was muddy, but nowhere near to the field in agility). I don't know how judges can set a course like that in this wheather (and as you said it rained the whole night and the water stood on the field before everything began - so they had to know what will happen with the beautifull grass). The organizers tried to make it better, but only before the last group. Why didn't they do anything before?

  • All other rings were in much better condition and for Sunday organizers completely reogranized placement of all rings in order to ensure the best possible surface. You can think what you want, may you have been there or judging only after seeing this tendentious video, but I consider it a succes to manage to cope with such unfavorable weather without bigger problems and with no injury.

  • @onlemonn

"but I consider it a succes to manage to cope with such unfavorable weather without bigger problems and with no injury. "

do you call that "manage to cope" "success"? OMG! and how do you know none of the dogs got hurt, did you go from handler to handler and ask them? not all dogs show their pain on agility field and sometimes the pain only comes after the muscles aren't warm anymore. Can you not tell from this video that the dogs can't even jump out of this mud?

  • @bambola4

And I would rather run my dog in this conditions than in 35°C heat! No I really didn't go from handler to handler and ask them but I didn't notice any injury, hope though that there have been none..

And no I can't tell from the video that the dogs can't even jump of this mud. The dog jumped high and long enough but just measured his pace wrongly. And I saw that happen many many times before in perfect conditions too. And hitting the dog after the tunnel? Only handlers fault..

  • @onlemonn I'm not saying accidents don't hapen in normal conditions, all I wanted to say is that those were not normal conditions and the percent of accidents is like five times higher and it is us human handlers to decide where the limit is,I know I put my dog's safety on the first place even though I love the sport. But yes,I am sure dogs loved it anyway, I don't mind the mud, it's just that I think this is too much and too dangerous, it should have been canceled when the conditions got so bad

  • Off course these conditions are extreme but no one could have expected such heavy and long rain.. everything was prepared and it was not possible to move such huge competition to „somewhere indoors“ as someone here suggested. Neither is true that organizers tried nothing to fix the mud. The competition on this ring was stopped for more than hour and organizers tried to fix it by removing water and filling up the mud with sand.

  • I have to disagree with most ot the comments here. The video shows few action moments from one of four rings and with the dramatic and catastrophic music in the background tries to evoke pitiful emotions and dishonest the whole competition and the hard work of organizers that did they best to cope with the very unfavorable weather. On Friday evening the surface was nice and well prepared when it started to rain at night. It rained whole night and keeped raining heavily till Saturday afternoon..

  • @onlemonn

We all understand that not all dogs ran in the same conditions, not all of them had an equal amount of mud to "swim in". But can't you see how contradictive that is to the sport? How can they compete if not all of them have the same conditions to run, is that fair? I can turn off the music and still feel the pain watching that poor dog fall, not even ONE dog should run in these conditions, so your explanation that only "some of them" had to run in this makes no excuse for me

  • @bambola4

Well thats definitely true that not all dogs ran in the same conditions but how can you guarantee this in an open air event? It´s the same in many other sports (skiing, crosscountry skiing, ski jumping and generally everything that happens outside and is exposed to unpredictability of weather) and it happens on olympic games often too.. And as wyndruhr said the conditions were difficult but challenging and you can see from the expressions of the dogs that they mostly enoyed it.

  • @onlemonn i'm not really sure you can compare sports like skiing etc to a dog sport when it's human choice to compete. you can say the dogs looked happy all they want, but since most of agility is dominated by very high drive dogs, i know a lot of even medium grade dogs that will still happily hide pain in order to run. as someone has stated it's probably more to do with courses/judges, but surely competitors and organisers still have the power to do something about it.

  • @onlemonn also to add that i agree the whole music thing can persuade people but i've watched runs people have posted and i still wouldn't DARE run my dogs on that kind of ground. i find it quite sad it's a success to you tbh, i get what you're saying but i would have thought health would be number 1 over success.

  • I love the sport, but I guess some people are forgetting about keeping it "fun and safe" :((( I would never ever run my dog in this, shame on the organizers for letting poor dogs risk their health, health should be their prime concern. What a shame on EO this year

  • Comment removed

  • This is just horrible, poor dogs!

  • eww. gross. its obvious that they tried nothing to fix the mud. thats just cruel. poor dogs.

  • :O OMFG !!! so dangerous....

  • Shame on you. This is no competition.

  • I don't think I'd want to make a trip of that distance and that costly to run in conditions like that and risk my dogs health or mine. It's really hard to believe that they couldn't find one single indoor place to hold an event that is supposed to be prestigious and fair. Fairness on this type of thing depends on your run order for sure. Early in the order and you have an advantage over later in the order and the mud and water is deeper and more churned up. I really feel for the handler and dog.

  • @glstorm i agree! pretty sure it was like this either last year or the year before, surely they'd find a better venue after that?

  • It was really exciting... I saw this with my own eyes... Agiltiy on mud surface = extreme adrenaline sport :D :D :D

  • @rohacek006 extreme adrenaline sport? more like "yay let's get our poor dogs hurt while they are just trying to please us"

  • Oh my god.

  • EO or not, I would never run my dogs in that. Wow.

  • Those conditions are discraceful...too dangerous to have kept it going...the safety of the dogs and handlers was severely compromised.

  • tak to je bomba, moc se těším na videjka !!! jsi borec :-)

  • tak to je sila
