If a kid plays Mature Games at a young age - it doesn't mean they will do the actions saw in such game. I don't think people who enjoy "kiddie games" as an adult neccessarily has a problem, just like you don't think there is a problem with playing games in general as an adult. But you are right, if you care so much about a random person's opinion over the internet, you probably do have some issues.
Its funny, because I would have disagreed with you a little while ago, but after thinking about, I barely play "kiddy" games anymore, and have always enjoyed more mature games. the last "kiddy" game I have played is Ocarina of Time 3DS (mostly because I played the crap out of that game as a kid) but its funny how you can so set in a mindview, that you forget to look at the bigger picture.

I'm 19 right now, but if i ever did get a kid, I would have no problems with making it play games like God of War or whatever, you make it seem like you don't want your kids to touch games like MW3, which is understandable (personally I'd wait till they were 10) but I could be saying that because when I was 10, the online community wasn't filled with 12 year olds playing Call of Duty. I just played GTA Vice City and didn't touch online gaming till the PS3 and resistance 1 came out.
I was raised on M rated and R rated games ever since I was a kid, but I never played online until I was 15. When I have kids, I will definitely let my kids no matter how young they may be play any game they want. Because I think I came out just fine. It never really affected me, my parents just told me "Just remember, it's all fake." That's all I really needed.

I play the current Mario's, Sonic's, and Zelda's, but I was brought up with the original games, so I understand that if a person wasn't, they wouldn't want to play them because of their kiddy look that appeals to kids. Honestly i DO agree with him to a point. Let's say mario is kiddy, the problem i have with you is you think it's wrong to play them. I enjoy playing mario more than i do any shooter. And if i enjoy playing a "kiddy" game more than you like playing a "hardcore" game (which i probably do. I love mario, ratchet & clank, Jak, Sly Cooper, LBP, wind waker) makes me gay and you'll continue to "bust my chops", then you sir are the one who has some "dam issues"

I'm 19 right now, but if i ever did get a kid, I would have no problems with making it play games like God of War or whatever, you make it seem like you don't want your kids to touch games like MW3, which is understandable (personally I'd wait till they were 10) but I could be saying that because when I was 10, the online community wasn't filled with 12 year olds playing Call of Duty. I just played GTA Vice City and didn't touch online gaming till the PS3 and resistance 1 came out.

I was raised on M rated and R rated games ever since I was a kid, but I never played online until I was 15. When I have kids, I will definitely let my kids no matter how young they may be play any game they want. Because I think I came out just fine. It never really affected me, my parents just told me "Just remember, it's all fake." That's all I really needed.

No you playing M rated games doesn't make you mature. What does is the fact that you seem to be one of the few people who understand that the rating is on the case so parents can take responsibility and make sure their kids don't play games that they shouldn't.

Honestly, I think that the reason that kid's games don't appeal to you is probably because you didn't grow up with them like I did. I'm a teenage male that not only plays the serious, "hardcore" games (L4D, TF2, Deus Ex, Skyrim, and other PC games), I go back to Pokemon, Mario and Zelda from time to time as well. It's what I grew up with, and I still find those games appealing to today. I understand if you're not into those games, but it's kind of wrong to slander those that are. Just sayin'.

To be honest Rev, i think alot of them liking those games has alot to do with nostalgia. For instance i used to LOVE waiting for a new Zelda games to drop up to about wind waker. Once that one came out i knew i would be less likely to want more. Then the Wii dropped and i was like ehhh. But i know i get caught up in loving those games i used to play. I just bought the MGS: HD Collection and it brought back good memories and its still a great game to me. But yeah still agree with ya Rev! ha

I play the current Mario's, Sonic's, and Zelda's, but I was brought up with the original games, so I understand that if a person wasn't, they wouldn't want to play them because of their kiddy look that appeals to kids. Maybe you're correct: I guess it is because of nostalgia that I still play them, but I DO like the gameplay.
