  • Elton has had some really amazing b-sides from the 80's. Let's hope that he releases a "Rare Masters, Vol. 2" that consists of all his b-sides and obscurities from this era.

  • follow EltonJohnLyrics on Twitter :)

  • Elton is the best, we have been given a gift and it is him. On his worst day he is better than anyone past or present.

  • @DinkysPaw

A GIFT FROM GOD , YES I AGREE

    EJ IS THE BEST

I'M A FAN SINCE 1978 AND I LOVE HIM MORE THAN EVER

THIS SONG IS AMAZING AND BRING ME TEARS EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO IT

    LONG LIVE SIR ELTON

  • This song is extremely beautiful... But as with many other b-sides from his so-called "Burnout"-period it's looong gone beyond Elton's memory.

  • He wasn't the happiest of the bunch at the time. All of his music between the popularity decline of '76-77 to the return in '82-83 has this certain fragilty and even if they're not always the best of songs they feel earthbound and close. Yhat makes them special to me, it's not fm radio material, it's the truth sung by a lonesome billionaire.

  • How can I get this song on my ipod?

  • There's free software called DownloadHelper that allows you to copy audio and video files that play on YouTube. Do a Google search and it should be easy to find.

  • This is one of my new favorites, and I'm a lifer of a fan. Thanks so very much for posting.

  • top 10? i don't think so.

  • What was this the b-side of?

  • This was the b-side to Dear God.

  • @ente75 A good example when the b-side is far better than the a-side...

  • It would be really cool if they would make a compilation C.D. of all of his rare songs and sell it in music stores. You can't find these songs anywhere and songs like this one are pretty good.

  • @anderson1cop OHHHH, I wouldn't have said it better myself, I totally agree with you and support your great idea!!!!

  • I would love to know where you found this track! I've been dying to own it, and it has been extremely hard to find. Thanks for uploading.

  • KYLEBEDIENT!!!!! MAN, U R A TRUE MIRACLE MAKER - thank you so much)

i couldn't find 'HOOP OF FIRE' from 'LEATHER JACKETS'. I've been to EJ shows 2 times, back in 2000 MSG and 2002 MCI center in DC and was frustrated by the list of songs he sang - all known songs, I LOVE JAPANEESE HANDS and he didn't sing it, never does

  • Very emotional song really touches my heart, too bad it never made it to the album.

  • Haven´t heard this one for ages! 'i have the EP but no player so thanks for posting this!

  • How come I've never heard this song before? Many thanks for sharing it, kylebedient! It's so full of sadness and pain. Sounds a bit like "Reach out to me". Same mood. This kind of song seems to unveil a bit more of Elton's soul, of his inner man, his sensibility and the way his painful memories affect him.

  • This song sounds like "Reach Out to Me" because this song evolved from it.

  • I'd love to hear him re-record this song. His voice now would be perfect for it. As always, thanks for sharing these Elton goodies.

    :D

  • It's a bit like Skyline Pigeon. He is a master composing this kind of melodies.

  • Probably could almost have made it onto 21 at 33, probably a bit too slow for that album though which could be why it didnt make it.

  • I've never heard this before, it's very pretty. I like it.

  • Thank you, I appreciate that you take the time to leave comments.
