  • The Oil Pressure is pretty Low for a V8.....

  • @lancasterjerry15 It's a volvo 2.8L v6 (yes, the same as the station wagon)....

  • wow. you were driving like 60 mph on the autobahn - congratulation

  • ok... munchen... germany... maybe once i will see you and your delorean on german highways

  • was is denn die lampe vor dem tacho ?

  • @solunasunrise mitz dem rot grün da ...

  • @solunasunrise

  • By the time this baby hits 88mph your going to be 10 years in the future

  • how cool this thing has a voltmeter inside thats awesome

  • LOL DeLoreans really are the most gutless cars out there..... its like taking home a hot chick and getting right into it and finding she has a penis. What a let down.

  • @frankmat All that proves is you're too shit at cars to do basic tuning work. Exhaust + chip + cams = 70 horsepower for barely any effort.

  • Haha, I know where that was filmed...in Stuttgart coming from B27 onto A8 over by the Airport/Messe. I drive by there everyday...cool video man. I was thinking about getting one of these cars from Houston, Texas.

  • Is it normal for a delorean to run such high oil pressure?

  • Factory DMC-12 had a incompatible oil pressure sensor in the gauge which would give you a reading of around 80 psi idle. Some of the refurbs and NOS with upgrades have fixed this problem. Not sure about this one in particular though.

  • i doubt that car would even make it to 160 with the stock engine

  • the delorean is amazing, but the engine is something made from Reanult, Volvo and Ford if i'm not wrong. like 10sec 0 to 100km/h, is a bit slow uh? My 1.2L 97 renault clio make it in 15sec

  • PRV6

    Peugeot, Renault, and Volvo.

Ehhh yeah... About 10 seconds with all the original parts.

  • @MaurizioM89 engine PRV Peugeot Renault and Volvo

  • I also own one and i was thinking that the top speed was 130. If you can get to 180 then i would think you had some upgrades.

  • For what ever reason i cant explain it but i jsut want a delorean!

  • which is the top speed of this car?, i have one and i can't run over 180

  • Oil pressure is looking a bit high!

  • @kazimann no shit lol more like bout to pop

  • @kazimann guage is out, stock engines run at 55psi cold 45 hot, cos its only a volvo engine :)

  • You can really tell just how underpowered the car was.

    But whatever. Pretty car.

  • Interesting to see a Delorean gauge in kilometers. Let people think you're going 100 mph when you're really going 60. lol

  • do you have an original Delorean engine?

i have delorean but i never get 80mph at 2000 rpms...

  • it's 80 kmh

  • lol so its more like 50-60 mph then.

  • Remeber another plutonium charge for the return!!!

  • What's that box thing with the red and green LEDs?

  • The flux capacitor

  • the flux capacitor is in the back of the seats.

  • probably a radar detector

  • 220 kph = 136 mph = more since! Dummies

  • is the oil pressure supposed to be that high?

  • better high than low. they say 10 psi for every 1 k of rpm.

  • It is rather high considering theres no real acceleration going on and the rpms are low. But high is better than low.

  • don't go past 88!

  • 88 mile per hoooooouuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrr woop woop!!!!!!

  • performance looks pants my fiesta goes quicker than that

  • uhhh who said i was racing. this is part of as transmission repair

  • how do you know that? I bet it doesnt. And one more thing, it is a fiesta, not Delorean, Delorean is simply better. The performance is not important on Delorean, you dont ride these rare cars for performance anyway.

  • that's what I say to people who complain about the DeLorean's engine...you just don't drive this car for performance... 0_0

  • Ok mcgurgles, well said. And I'm not a retard, I'm a w*nker! Looking in my deloy book though the top speed on a standard deloy is 120mph. A bit pants compared to our UK hot hatches of today. 0-60 in 9.5 years!

  • KPH mind you

  • Theres loads more in it than that. I recon you could hit 150mph as its doing 100 at 3000 rpm

  • Its in kilometers, retard...XD

  • I really think it's mph. You can see on the speedo where there's blue writing closer to the center of the gauge; THAT's the kph reading.

  • Lol, so you think the DeLorean can do over 200 mph? There are more km than miles in an hour. 31 mph = 50 km/h. Likewise, 100 km/h is about 62 mph. 220 mph (highest visible on the speedo) is about 355 km/h. Doubt that's gonna happen from any stock DeLorean.

  • You know much about distance conversion, but when is this De Lorean doing 200 anything?? In the video the car tops out at around 100 MPH. Since when does the visual limit of a car's speedo have anything to do with the car's actual top speed??

  • Since when did car manufacturers offer speedos that do over twice what the car can do? You said it's mph, I'm saying it's not, as there's no way a DeLorean can do 200 mph. 220 is the highest number seen on the speedo, and I've yet to see a car manufacturer from the 1980s decide to put over twice the speed the car can actually go. Plus, Germany is Metric, so there's no reason why it wouldn't be km/h anyway.

  • I've looked up De Loreans on Wikipedia, and you may be partially correct. While manufacturers have made speedometers that go way beyond the factory capability of the car (my '94 Celica is an example), there were a small handful of De Loreans produced for right-hand drive markets. Since those markets also had different laws, DMC was not obligated to use the US-mandated 85-mph speedos, so it used 140-mph ones. That is what is in this video. Apparently the large white numbers are the kph.

  • Or, okay, Non-US-Spec in general. So, in Germany, where this apparently takes place, the cars are still left-drive. But with 40 more hp and better handling, according to Wikipedia at least. But you are right about the Kph.
