  • 0:14 woops, that floor was recently waxed !

    adorable.

  • My cat has this disorder as well, please see my page.

  • what a good kitty!

  • Has the black one cerebellar hypoplasia?

  • The black one (she's actually tortie color, but mostly black), yes. =)

  • i want ch cat

  • Just so you know, your cat's case isn't unique. Technically, any case of cerebellar hypoplasia are unique because it depends on what parts of the cerebellum is cute. Personally, I wouldn't call it unique because of its disability, but rather for its personality.

  • I just went by what the vet (trained professional) told me. Just so you know.

  • I've been watching lots of videos of cats with CH. I think they are super cute. I don't feel sorry for them, as they seem perfectly happy. In fact in most of the videos they seem happier than other cats!

  • Aw, poor thing I feel sorry for her-but she has a loving home and I'm sure you take care of your kitty! God Bless! :D

  • Adorable! My c.h. cat is now 10 years old, and he's wonderful! They get better with age!

  • ohhhh poor kittens!!! I didn't know that could happen, I love cats and I have one of my own. I want to help those cute cats!!!!!

  • i wish this wasnt a huge problem for cats in general...it looks so crewl when you see them like that....but on the other hand its so cute and how they try to live their life to its potential is quite cool... take care of it... i love cats yet i dont have the economy to have one :(

  • ahhhhhhhhhh it's so cute this kitten

  • Aww your cats are both adorable! Hugs to them both! Also, for those of you excessively worried for Maru, relax. Apparently, aside from a lack of motor skills, cats with Cerebellar Hypoplasia are capable of leading long, healthy and happy life. He just needs lots of love like any kitty.

  • If it wasn't the hardwood, they would be falling into a wall. These guys are tough and they get used to banging into things. I cringe every time my little boy falls off the furniture. But they try anyway, and they do learn a little bit each time.

  • hypoplasia + hardwood = cruel? Certainly doesn't sound like fun. I would carpet a mansion for a cat like that.

  • I assure you, CH cats can live just fine on hardwood floors. They learn what they can and can't do, like any other cat. If Maru wants on the couch, she sits at the foot of it and squeaks for someone to let her up. She can get off without there being a problem. Slam your head into the ground a few times, and you learn quickly how to rearrange your paws to just flop your back feet, or roll off onto your stomach. They get more comfy on their feet with time.

  • aww! our cat had 2 kittens n 1 has cerebellar hypoplasia n the other hasnt, strange how 1 can b affected n not the other!

  • oh, poor baby. look at him trying to play. Hopefully his motor skills will improve as he gains control and learns to use his body better.
