  • you admit it. interesting. so what do you believe in? And if it is a theory then why is being taught to young children as fact?

  • @deusmoney *major facepalm* Evolution is fact, just as gravity is or the magnetosphere is. Scientific theories are fact. Evolution is a scientific theory. So are gravity and the magnetosphere. Kapeesh?

  • @robertghouston . lol @ *major facepalm*. Let me again ask the question that you so aptly avoided. If evolution is a theory why is being touted to the world as fact?

And if you dont believe in Jesus or anything related why are you adamantly against it?

Your logic for not believing is "the manuscripts which the Bible are based on are old." Valid point.

Do you believe in Abraham? There are millions of Arabs who trace their origins to him. He is in the Bible, near the beginning i might add.

  • @deusmoney 'If evolution is a theory why is being touted to the world as fact?' Scientific theories are fact; either they're based on observation, demonstration, or collection of historical information. The 'Theory' of the 'Theory of Evolution' isn't like David Icke's theory of reptilian overlords in human skinsuits controlling the world, a 'theory' which is clearly crazy and delusional.

  • @robertghouston . granted. sounds like 1950's horror. Now my next question. If it is a theory and not fact, shouldnt the opposing argument (creation) be taught as well? After all, that argument was generally accepted by most people until quite recently.

  • @deusmoney 'And if you dont believe in Jesus or anything related why are you adamantly against it?' I believe Jesus existed. I believe he was probably a street magician (hence the 'miracles'/magic tricks) who perhaps saw himself as a messiah (hence the preaching) and who pissed off the Jews and/or the Roman Empire (hence the crucifixion). What I'm adamantly against is the assumption that he was the son of god. He may have claimed he was,but then a lot of folks make unbelievable claims

  • @robertghouston . Alright. I see why you would say that. Do you believe in Israel? The people, the country?

  • @deusmoney 'And if you dont believe in Jesus or anything related why are you adamantly against it?' I believe Jesus existed. • Our pride does not want to let us admit that we just don't know. The truth is, we must have faith in something. So it is either faith in a grand design, or faith in an unproved theory. YES, I SAY UNPROVED THEORY. Not one person has proved the theory of evolution past the point of saying that the theory is scientifically correct. I beg to differ. A bacteria flagellum is an outboard motor with sensors to detect its environment. Natural selection could have come up with an intricate machine?

  • @deusmoney *facepalm* Do you know the definition of a scientific theory is? Evolution is a scientific theory. Just as gravity is.

  • @deusmoney "Not one person has proved the theory of evolution past the point of saying that the theory is scientifically correct."

    Oh my God, hahahahahahahahahahaha

What more is there to do but prove something is correct scientifically?

    Evolution is a fact, moron.

  • Athiests do not believe in God the creator. This is because they use their intellect to explain away everything. If instead of explaining AWAY everything (usually with amusing comedic anecdotes), they tried to FULLY EXPLAIN everything, they would end up with more questions than answers. This infinite quest for knowledge with no foreseeable end in sight in itself points to an ultimate intelligence, greater than our own. By ourselves we are stuck with unproved theories being heralded as fact.

  • Christians have been searching for centuries for an ounce of truth. They haven't found it, so what else do you expect them to do other than to have faith? That's all that's left. You say that this is it for me. Pat Robertson says I can have everlasting life. Let's assume I'm black, jobless, broke, sick and uneducated. I was born to an unwed mother as 72% of blacks are. If you take this tether of hope away from me, false as it may be, watch out white guy.

  • @controversialbook I certainly take your point, but it poses the question, is false hope a better alternative to no hope?

  • @AtheistEutopia The only one who can decide that is the person in need. Let's make you that person. I have a shotgun pointed at you. I'm just a few feet away, and you know that from that distance, I'll blow you into. You know that I a very serious guy with many troubles. I say to you, "If you tell me there's no god, I have nothing, so I'm going to kill you. If you say there might be a god, I'll have some hope. Which will it be?"

  • @controversialbook The problem with deciding upon an appropriate answer is that I've had time to consider it, which I probably wouldn't get faced with your scenario, and I'm not feeling threatened as I would be if that gun was actually pointed at me. To provide as honest an answer as I can under the circumstances, I think I would make any statement that might save my own life. If it happened to reflect my honest opinion, this would only be a coincidence.

  • @AtheistEutopia "I'm not feeling threatened." These people do feel threatened, and the sociopaths for fee, provide them with someone to lean on. And since they can't always be with the person, they give them an invisible friend who can be there 24/7. The weak suspect it's phony, but they don't care, because this invisible friend says exactly what they want to hear. He can do this because he lives in their mind. No facts please, they lead to responsibility. Jesus, a legal over the counter drug.

  • @controversialbook I'm sure you're assessment of the reality here is correct.

  • @controversialbook . interesting theory. the thing about over the counter drugs is that the effects are real not imagined. So you are basically validating the effectiveness of Jesus, which in essence makes him real.

Every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

  • @controversialbook 'I say to you, "If you tell me there's no god, I have nothing, so I'm going to kill you. If you say there might be a god, I'll have some hope. Which will it be?" ' Bob, atheists don't believe in any god, we don't say there definitely is no god. That would be 'antitheism'. Afterall, the atheist bus ad reads, 'There's probably no God.' Note the word *probably*.

  • @controversialbook . And who is the man who knows what is in a man except only the spirit of the man that is in him? So also a man does not know what is in God, only The Spirit of God knows.
