I watched Bob Ross paint on TV when I was a child. I loved his gentle approach. He encouraged me and helped me discover how important art is in everyone's life. Thanks for sharing these videos. What a truly unique person he was!

@teominatoryou I was thinking the same thing. I just finished watching series 29 and 30 and I've never painted oils before. I've tried just about every other medium and consider myself pretty accomplished with pencil and paper... But I'm pricing out a nice oil set right now. Bob and Bill Alexander were simply amazing and still inspiring long after their passing.

Wow, he died only a couple of years after his wife. He must have really loved her to not want to continue on without her. What a beautiful man and a beautiful contribution he made to life. I'll bet they're cruising through his paintings right now. His wife is a lucky gal!!

You have no idea...he was just as kind hearted in person as he seem on TV. He was not a saint, we had fun in the green room between shows and during lunch breaks...he was quite the jokester. Miss him dearly.
