love is love but marriage and garriage are different. If straight ≠ gay then straight rights ≠ to gay rights. There is fundamental difference between gays and straight and, what defines it is different sexuality isn't it.  1138 federals rights are required for a family and its wellbeing, homosexuality is a concept in itself that does not prioritize families. two men in a relationship how does it help the society , list down the benefits of gay marriage to the society. are there any??

@G41MCombo having the same civil rights = happy, prosperous citizens who feel free and do not feel like second class citizens. The same people are free to adopt, have kids or not...enjoy the same rights, same protections and be happy. These same people are your teacher, lawyers, doctors, hairdressers, social workers...e.tc. And happy people = happy society. Society benefits greatly from freedom, equality and human rights.

2. Critical decision making when one same sex spouse is incapacitated.

3. Protection for any children.

4. Automatic next of kin for life insurance, hospital visitation, etc.

Anything that a man and a woman does to contribute to society through marriage, a gay couple can do as well. Including bearing children. Need I go on?

Civil Unions offer State Rights. Marriage offers Federal Rights. Gay people are asking for Marriage in order to receive FULL rights (both State and Federal Rights). Without Marriage Gay people do NOT receive 1138 Federal Rights. THAT's the difference that is not always discussed. Thank you for letting me add some education
