I also had the kodak zi6 and hated it. I just have a few questions bout this one. How is the battery life since its only a rechargeable battery and change you change the sound for when you turn on the camera? Please get back to me as soon as possible. Thanks!

@Babe259 It gets me through filming about maybe 4 to 5 videos at an average of 4 to 5 minutes per video. Keep in mind, that all includes with file transfer time, I also leave it on while I edit each video so that might make a difference. It's not the best battery in the world but it records 720p HD really well and is suitable and affordable for what I'm trying to do.

I'd like to buy this too, I've seen it as a refurb for $130. But, if it doesn't come with an HDMI or component cables (and it has a proprietary connector jack), what's the point of 720P HD video? You can only watch it on your computer, or with an external device like that will play the files and send HDMI to the TV. That would cost just as much as the camcorder itself.

Yo dude, I bought this cam last month and I have made some vids, but they're not in 720p HD which is kinda annoying :P do you know if there is some setting you need to change, cus me and my buddies have had a fiddle, but we cant find anything that makes it shoot HD can you help? please?

@SexualToasTi It might be the editing program you use that removes the HD. The video camera it self only shoots in HD, unless you changed in the settings. Take a good tour through the Menu and Settings to make sure everything is set right.

Question.. I was thinking about asking for this for my birthday in a couple of weeks and need to know if the auto focus is really good.. Example: I do beauty reviews and if I want to show my viewers the name of a nail polish on the bottom of a bottle which is tow times smaller than this font and I put the bottle up close to the camera lens would it show the words perfectly? Please answer asap if you want. It would help me so much! Thanks!

@Allthatglitters4u This auto focus is probably not the best for what you are trying to do. Just watch some of my recent videos. They are all using this camera. You can judge it yourself. But this camera is about a year old. You might have a better auto focus on the Sony Handycam video cameras, but keep in mind those range from $600 - $1600 if I remember correctly.

@jonboyq23 The battery life is very good. You go out for the whole day and not worry about battery life. For those who want extra batteries, they are easy to find for cheap on eBay. I bought 2 extra batteries for like $10-15, free shipping.

while i like the camera test footage, the fact of the "How to open the box" demonstration, and "here is all the stuff, ooh so nicely packaged, let's take off the wrapping" demo really annoyed the EVER LIVING DAYLIGHTS out of me. I'm pretty sure no one here, at all, cares about you opening the box and describing all the contents in detail including you taking off the packaging. Because of this video I had to comment, but if all your videos are so mind-numbing, I won't be subscribing.

Well it's mostly an Unboxing. This is what unboxing's are. You'll find over youtube.. alot of these videos. Some people enjoy seeing what the product is going to look like before it's out of the box.

its an awesome video camera for its cost. It only has a stop button. No pause. But if you put it all up in a movie editing software like. iMovie (mac) or Windows Movie Maker (Windows), or even a more advanced editing software, you can put all the clips together easily. That's what I do. It isn't really a downside.

@goodolred I love this camera, I have vista so there was a problem with editing on windows vista, but I purchased on line for $29 AVS, also the digital cameraa is great if you play around with the iso and aperature, I edit photo on picassa I took some videos at low light on my webpage

Nope. It won't stand on its own because it's meant to mainly be a handheld device. But you can use a tripod and it will stand and look professional. Thats what I use for most of my videos today.

ok can someone help me? i need to decide between the sanyo xacti cg10 and the creative vado hd and i don't know which one is better.... the sanyo has much better zoom and takes 10 mp pictures, but the vado is much cheaper and has better low light quality..... i need help!!

Everything you see in this video, and only everything you see in this video is what the camera comes with. It comes with a regular output cable that allows you to hook it up to your television, if that is what you were asking.
