  • My transmitter for heli is 72, 1.2 for video and 72, or 2.4 for camera mount. Your setup should be fine too.

  • I am trying to do a similar setup with my TREX700. I was just wondering what frequency transmitters you're using? I will have 2, one for the heli and one for gimball, plus I would like a downlink from the camera. I'm thinking 35mhz to control heli, 2.4ghz to control gimball, 5.8ghz for the downlink. Just wondering what setup you're using. Any advice is appreciated.

  • whats the flight time on these ?

  • Great work. Nice views.

  • LIKE this comment... if you "think" the person/s who dislikes are losers

  • Awesome footage guys...

  • You do a search and I bet there are people advertising them online for RC aerial photography and in the us.

  • RC helicopters for video/photography is illegal in all US airspace. That is why you don't see anyone advertising online. Violators have been given cease/desist orders by the FAA to pull their websites and videos. Fines go as high as $10k per day per violation!

  • @iibw I don't think you mean flying rc helicopters for aerial photography is illegal in US airspace, I think you mean commercialization of that photography. You can't sell it, but for personal or hobby use it is perfectly legal.

  • Beautiful shots..but which Camera is it??

  • :) you made my day

  • Oh man are these not the most beautiful most crisp looking vid on YouTube!

  • For someone in you position, I would advise partnering with a RC helicopter pilot and you can operator the camera gimbal. Chances are the pilot will have a 600 size helicopter and larger and you can get an AeriCam 360 camera mount. Very easy to tune and film with and stable also. Or you can pick up a 450 size heli and a simulator and about 6 month to a years of practicing.

  • What is the best and cheapest way to get into aerial photography? I own a 7d, but I don't know anything about helicopters. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

  • Over the years, we have try our best to use the most disposable platforms to do jobs and t-rex 700 are very good platforms, but with good electronics, GPS stabilizer and even 5D will be around $10,000k. Then we have clients who want better cameras such as AF100 and some even request cameras such as RED, then it can easily back in $20,000K platforms.

  • Jas, the days of flying expensive rigs are over. A trex 700e plus a Canon 5d and a decent mount can be had for around 6k with similar results. Why not go that route?

  • At 720p, why is the focus so soft? It should be tack sharp.

  • Looks like a good intro for a movie lol

  • Sometime we have rigs over 20K flying over water. It's scary but a good setup helicam and experience pilot will give you better odds. We use live view for video jobs, but most of the shots were shot without live view.

  • Wow! Great music and great flying!! You have to be pretty gutsy to fly 5k over water incase of a crash. Could you post what heli and cam you are using and how you did it. Also are you watching a live footage wile flying?

    Awesome Video!

  • mann this is astonishing

  • Very very very cool!!!

  • was this video stabilized in post production?

  • wow man this is amazing! i hope one day i'll have the money to do this too:)

  • Jello effect is disappointing.

  • This looks good. Ive looked in to it and its about $5000 to get started. Camera .. lens heli. and camera mount. Feel free to pat your self on the back.. Not only are you taking a huge risk this is a big investment. Good work. and your welcome to praise your own work. i would be proud of my self after this much work. All some people see is the end result and never how much it took to get to this point. Awesome job

  • Wow nice! but there seems to be a lot of lens colour distortion and fragmentation, is that to do with the lens you used or the uploading to you tube?

  • Sir, you are on your way to making a lot of money!!! cudos to you and your guys. tony from hollywood C.A.

  • the wide angle makes me dizzy

  • lens?

  • this is amazing !

  • @camkopter praising your own work on youtube is quite lame, if you ask me, especially in that manner. you are not the ones to decide who's better or not.

  • @camkopter and, no, i don't think you're better, you're just lifting a camera, as everybody else. but know too few about photo- and videography basics.

  • 1:25 when it got close to the water, even i was saying "OH $###(&" i can only imagine what the flyer was saying haha.

  • wow :) what is the camera on your heli ? what receiver and what transmitter ? Stunning !!

  • Bi-coastal. I spend most of my time in New York, but will be in San Fran again in Mid July. And more often in Winter time.
