  • thanks for doing these interviews!! you are doing amazing work.

  • This is it; the human spirit. The determination to succeed against the odd, to protect each other from the disasters of life and to celebrate when we do succeed. This woman, Jeannie, is the embodiment of all of these qualities. I wish her, and all the citizens of her wonderful tent city, all the best.

  • I feel bad for those people but... I don't believe the government has the right to just "give" people anything. She spoke of electricians and other qualified people living there. The issue we should be talking about is how we as a people have allowed the government to create a society where people depend on the government.. 50 yrs of failed policy in the name of poverty has done nothing but create more poverty while detroying the idividuals American pride.

  • It is an illegal consideration to lend something that has no substance behind it. If we do not change this system we allow this to continue. A profit based system considers profit before life.

Obviously, god is not changing this. Humans must stand and make the change.

  • If she is a Registered Nurse, she can work anywhere. Doing nursing care without the RN designation, is home-care.

  • U.S realty in these days

  • maybe churches need to take the lead and use their buildings to house people. create communities that live in the church. they are empty while people sufferr on the streets...that is not right.

  • still waiting to hear back from the aclu on my question on what the aclu is doing...or likely NOT doing to sue the devil government over their attacks on the homeless...not holding my breath

  • @Thenewyorkcritic I have no idea to be honest w/ u, I mean whatever activities they r doing on those tents whether it might be drugs or not. It's the fact that, since it looks like state property & might be a nature preserve for example. Who wants 2 have homeless people harrass visitors & workers there for money, moist of these homeless people r either due to economy or just have serious mental problems. I wish they would stay, but what about when that place is covered in snow & hot summers.

  • California hates the homeless. I was homeless there, and there are NO services! It's all about money, tourism, and property value. What a bunch of a-holes.

  • @b1p0l4rt I was homeless there to --- Oceanside and Escondido. Peace and love to you.

  • ‎"A stark reality check" - Being homeless after having had a regular nursing job - this could happen to anyone. Have you heard about breaking the law for camping in your own backyard for over 24 hours? The laws are flawed and it will only take an equalization in the monetary system to stop nonsensical negligence toward fellow human beings. equalmoney. org if you care about yourself and others in equality.

  • california has some backward laws.

  • I do not understand the law against camping. I really don't. I mean, what arguments are there?

  • @oneiros666 I think the argument against camping is potential anarchy. But there is really no basis in that, because people are driven to crime because they have no place to, not because they have a small tent to go to. The fact that these people are self governed doesn't surprise me at all, and I truly believe that what this woman was talking about can really be a road to ending homelessness in America.

  • America goverment suck alot how they treat the America Family in the right way !

  • Great work!

  • a tidy suburban street full of fake hairsprayed christians is creepy and weird ...open your eyes folks

  • Unreal. Where do expect these people to go? Go jump off a bridge? Makes me sick. What they going to do in the next few years when the homeless numbers rise? Fema Camps?

  • @PYSCOPOMP Yeah i agree w/ u, but it just attracts negative attraction whether they r in the city or in the country. No food, water or cleaning supplies, also who knows if they r doing drugs in those tents to try to sell for money to buy needed supplies. Shelters either get full or closed down for safety violations. There living out in the middle of no where basically, so u got people who don't want them there or want them there. Idk if some1 owns that property, state or government property.

  • @PYSCOPOMP

Fema Camps make it sound like a conspiracy theory because of the wing nuts who've used the term. However, I think that there's a reason that private prisons are expanding while the infrastructure of this country becomes more and more third world. I'd read "The Grapes of Wrath" - because I think private work camps with guarded fences may be where we're headed.

  • @Di0genesus Don't disguard information because someone labelled it conspiracy. I am not a nut job but some things they point out are dead on. But anyways if they know the economy is getting worst but already stoping tent cities. Where do they plan on putting all these people. They ain't allowed anywhere these days. Scary. Kudos to anyone surviving the streets. Thats gotta be rough mentally and physically.
