Imagine wrapping a basketball with saranwrap and trying to not get a crease.
You would need to stretch it, correct?... its a similar situation with most of the plastic on the bike.
The decal will need to be stretched here and there but if you have soap on it then it would constantly be falling off as you are trying to stretch the decal.
The front plate and swingarms are the only ones flat enough to work with the soap idea and they are too easy to even bother.
Sorry but we disagree with you... within the first few minutes of applying the decal you can quicky snap it back for realignment, and if your hands are clean you can do it over and over again.
We suggest the installation be at room temperature "after" the outdoor cleaning procedure has been done.
I'm not undermining the tips or instructions in the vid, but for whoever is inexperienced with graphics install I'd recommend that you would use soapy water on the plastics before u put the graphics on so you can pull them up if you put them on crooked or something, then once you have them on straight use a credit card or some other flexible utencil to squeeze the water out from underneath the graphics and to set the adhesive. It'll save you a ruined numberplate background trust me on this.
@09crf250dreamz Soapy water takes too long and doesn't help the graphics to stick better. Use the Decal Works Application System kit that includes an adhesive remover that is safer and works better than mineral spirits. A Cleaner for prepping your plastics, and an Application Fluid that works a whole lot better and faster than soap and water. decalmx dot com. One kit is good for several installations.
You recorded this with a gopro on your head didn't you :)

all posts replies.
-we, ride industries made the graphics kit in the video.
-its much easier to apply with the plastic still on the bike... you then have two hands to work with.
-thanks for the great job compliment.
-as for removal of old decals... just peel them off the bike in a warm environment.
then clean of any old adhesive with mineral spirits and a rag.
you will need to start from scratch again with the cleaning instructions on the video as mineral spirits leaves an oily residue.
