What is the name of your editing software? What kind of camera do you use?

@skyking1961 That video was shot on an old digital 8 camera. We've since gotten a Sony HD handycam to shoot video. I edited it on Windows Movie Maker. It's great for simple editing. We now use iMovie on our mac. It is a bit more full featured than Movie Maker.

@TheHotwheels00 Use little pieces of duct tape to stick your down ramp to the floor. That will keep it in the exact same place. Then you only have to adjust your landing ramp. That makes is much easier to get jumps to land

@balloonshoprocks101 Your down ramp has to be very stable so it doesn't move at all. Once you have that locked down, you need to use a low flat car. They tend to be better balanced and stay straight in the air. Last tip: when you do a really long jump/drop, you need to have a steep angle on your jumping ramp. The car will flip forward eventually, so start it out with the nose of the car up higher.

@spawnabhi We just used downhill ramps to pick up speed most of the time. Sometimes we just pushed the car, but it was hard to keep consistent.

How did you know where to aim? The good old fashioned way of trial and error or did you use math physics?

@kulawick You need a stable down ramp. Make it as high as you can with support under it where possible. If it moves up and down a lot, it will slow down the car. Also, it needs to be smooth with no quick angle changes in it. That will also slow the car down.

@GTAracer24 Absolutely. The jump from the stairs took about 2 hours to set up, and another hour to test trajectory.  But after that, we actually landed it twice! The camera was only on for one of them.

@Darkdeeds396 We've found that low flat cars tend to be balanced the best for flying long distances. Look for even weight front to back. Also look for wheels that roll well. Some cars seem to be built better than others.
