Michael was the best at portraying the Phantom I've ever seen "caruraf". I have a couple of friends who saw both Michael and Ramin and still loved MCs Phantom better even though they have respect for Karimloo in general. I have also watched a ton of video of RK and other Phantoms as well as having seen a bunch of others thru free tickets. Michael has a huge fan base because he REINVENTED THE WAY THE PHANTOM WAS PORTRAYED and because MC is just a great all around performer! When did you see MC?

Ok, um. You just said "You can have your favourites but why attack someone elses" and now your doing exactly that. Yes ok you prefer Micheal, but most of us on here prefer Ramin. Michael isn't doing Phantom anymore, yes he will still the remembered as THE Phantom, the one who invented the role. But he needs to make way for new Phantoms, who are all trying to make the Phantom their own and make themselves known, much like Ramin is doing and has done. So don't be a hypocrit and bite our heads off!

Cont'd...plus hes sold million of CDs around the globe as well as helping design the Phantoms make-up and costume. You never saw Michael or watched his live videos and interviews with Phantom either. As for "lilmissfarah" try watching some of Mikes videos and you'll see comments praising him with people in there teens saying they love Michael and wish they saw him! Plus MC has teenagers as well as people of all ages in his fan association. You can have your favorites but why attack someone elses

Maybe you should go see Ramin in phantom. I've seen both Michael and Ramin in london, and whilst I agree with you that MC is a legend and created a fantastic phantom, if you only saw Ramin live perhaps then you'd see why Ramin has such a strong fan base. He really has reinvented the character and his is the best portrayal of Eric I've ever seen. Seriously, if your a phantom fan go see him, it's totaly worth it!

i agree! i went in February, and i cried so much because of his voice, and how he really put himself into the role. Don't get me wrong Michael really made Phantom what it is now, but i really prefer Ramin's voice to Michael's. Ramin's has so much power and emotion that makes you want to listen when he sings. Michael made Phantom. But Ramin has taken that and made the character sooo much better. I still like Michael, however is no.1 for me! :-D

Yer exactly. We all like different things. We wouldn't be human otherwise. We don't all look the same, speak the same, dress the same or eat the same. So why should we all like the same things? As far as i'm concerned people shouldn't snap at people just coz they don't like what we like. Hey i'm a horsey mad teen, but my dad don't like horses, i don't bite his head off and tell him he's wrong and try to force him to like them. Why do the same with this? It's pointless.

I guess some of ramins fans like "ccple" just tend to be jerks. Nobody who said that they still prefer Michaels take on the Phantom overall ever said that Ramin couldn't sing. But yet you get all pissy and made stupid, untrue comments saying Michael can't sing. I actually respected Ramin and his fans even if I liked Michael better( which I do ). They both can sing..just with different styles. Michael had the best box office of any Phantom, helped make it successful and sold out concerts.

I have nothing but respect for Karimloo and he isn't bad. I also wish him the best in the future "ccple" but after watching this and a lot of other live videos of Karimloo I think Michael Crawford is much better. I prefer MCs take on the character and hes definetly a better singer. But you know each to there own. I liked the complexity Michael brought to the character and the fact that MC helped design the make-up and costume which RK and everybody else wears. I like both guys in general though.

i still prefer crawfords angelic voice- he is the angel of music. That guy is amazing- but I would not think him an angel. I think of him as the best thing between my sheets in months. In short- amazing talent- but not as good for the part as Crawford was.
