  • It is technically proficient and well played, however you need to add some dynamic and emotion...especially in a Beethoven piece. Great job! :)

  • wow, i try to play this song but my notes just couldnt be as clear as yours :(

I think i need more practice...

  • That was beautiful. :) I will surely practice and play that someday!

  • Great job! But you made me feel like a failure when I play it. lol

  • amazing!!

  • Very nicely done!!! :)

  • Also, what's up with the slur in the Mannheim Rocket-like theme in the beginning? All five notes should be staccato! You slurred the first note and connected it to the second, completely changing that recurring theme.

  • @mario54671 The first note of the theme is marked as non legato in my sheets for the right hand, also in bar 49 when starting with Eb. I think it sounds like slurred because of reverb.

But thanks for the good advices.

  • @TeQuiLLaXY Yeah, it should be staccato. I have the Artur Schnabel editions of all the Beethoven sonatas, which are all based off the manuscripts, revised copies by Beethoven, or the first published editions, which were heavily supervised by Beethoven. Just to see if Schnabel was correct on certain things, I had a look at the first edition myself, and it seems to be pretty accurate (including the staccato notes), except for his little interpretation markings that he added in small print.

  • @mario54671 I'm playing from Henle urtext editions. I also wondered why there where no staccato signs at these two specific notes since they are marked as staccato on the other places where the theme appears so i thought it was wanted and nearly impossible to overlook it for a new release if even i notice it :D

And so i decided to not play it staccato, maybe i should also listen to some other versions ;)

  • @TeQuiLLaXY I would simply recommend to get something like the Peters Edition Urtext, which is pretty accurate. It's identical to mine, just without the interpretation markings that Schnabel adds in (in small print, to make the distinction between his markings and Beethoven's markings in larger print). Listening to other performances kills the originality of an interpretation.

Have a look at the imslp website and look at the first edition yourself! :)

  • @mario54671 Yes for sure it can destroy everything and i wouldn't want to do it before or while working on a piece but maybe afterwards ;)

Thanks for the hint on imslp, didn't knew it yet.

  • There are quite a few wrong notes here...either the sheet music you have is terribly wrong, or you somehow forgot to see certain things like the natural signs at 2:34, and forgot to see that C instead of B flat...you played an E flat major chord, instead of a C major chord..huge difference.

Also, you keep holding that note with your pinky at 3:03, and similar parts before. Those notes are 8th notes just like every other note in each bar..so not sure where the half notes came from. :P

  • @mario54671 Yes you're right in one point, i missed the natural sign but theres no C, the chord should be Edim.

I'm also not sure where the half notes are coming from, i haven't noticed this yet but maybe you know the fact that you're thinking that your doing something, but your fingers don't do, so your head is cheating on you :D

  • @TeQuiLLaXY Ah yes, there's no C, it's (starting with the bottom note) G, Bb, and E, it's a dominant 7th C chord without the C. Since, the chord progression is V back to I, to the original theme.

Yes, I used to do that, I'm now extremely cautious of how I play, I don't like my fingers being held down when they're not supposed to, it's a bad habit that I HOPE I overcame... the best thing to do is to practice it slow and to be alert for any "sticky" notes.

  • @mario54671 :D I haven't analyzed this piece, just played it, so i think you're right and its C7 without C but practically it makes no difference when just watching the left hand although it surely would be idiocy to call it Edim in harmonics perception :D

  • the CLP330 is worth it for the GH3 keys alone

  • @zzzxtreme What is it worth for? And why CLP 330 not 370 or Roland HP 307 with PHA III keys or Kawai CA 93 ?

  • @TeQuiLLaXY

they are all good but different. gh3 is one of the best, especially when compared to GHE and Korg's RH3

  • @zzzxtreme Still don't know why you started to write comments about the keys or CLP330 since nobody asked or wrote anything about CLP330 ;)

In this video i'm playing on CLP990 which only has GH but also natural wood keys. I played CLP 370 a few weeks ago but i did not really like the new keys, but for sure this is a matter of taste. I prefered to take the roland since i like the keys much more than the yamaha

  • AMAZING! :)

but you could've showed more expressions & dynamics (:

  • Muito bom!!!! The Grand 3 é perfeito!!

  • super
