  • @Oirad16 Haha its funny because that comment is 5 months old...

Plus crysis on low is good looking still

  • @monkeynade126 and that makes it less relevant? Just because you said something 5 months ago or 5 years ago it doesn't change what you said. The game is 7 years old and Crysis is far newer and on a new engine and is generally what people reference when talking about a pc killer. Far Cry looks amazing for it's age. I downloaded it recently and was acquiring the various updates when I stumbled across this video. That being said, Crysis has better looking textures, everything else is about the same

  • @Oirad16 Well appearantly you didn`t read that I said crysis looks good on low.

When I say that I mean Far Cry looks as good as crysis does on low/mid which is pretty damn good

    in my book.

You are misreading, I`m not at all trying to be anal.

  • @ AndiWandi , how come the description of patch 1.4 says it only support 32-bit only? I'm really not sure if we can install patch 1.4 with the X64 upgrade.

  • @eraserheads78 Well it worked out for me, but there's no guarantee it'll also work for you.

I tried it out and was happy the menu reported 1.4.

  • @TheCompScientist Hey. Maybe your problem is version related.

My game is retail. I don't remember the exact order I installed all the mods and patches since its long ago, but I believe the game was patched to version 1.33 when I installed the ECU for 32-bit (it's on FileShack), followed by the AGM. Patched the game to 1.4. Worked flawlessly.

  • @AndiWandi ah kk, i installed the 64bit ecu on the 1.4 (32bit) far cry, and to my surprise it actually worked. But i think ill just reinstall it and check out that ecu for 32 bit. thnx for the help

  • @TheCompScientist Fyi: Actually the 64-bit ECU only installs on 64-bit OSes like Win XP x64 or Win 7 x64. They modded the ECU so decent PCs with a 32-bit OS will run it as well.

  • @AndiWandi ah ok so i guess im good to go already, and to think i was about to uninstall everything lol (the game does run fine altho the textures look a bit blurry, guess this is where AGM comes in handy)
