  • BS. lol that m is quiet as a cat. sounds like stock /mufflers/cats and intake. Maby chip/pulley/ filter would perform like that. Unless this is a convertible M, but then again its the sound of the M i can tell whats done. C5s are ugly. Id rather have the classic 69, or maby the new c7. But i everyone kept calling my vette bat-mobiles, mostly girls. They are in love w/ the BMW though, i think they look more proportionate in my opinion. Thats why i ditched the c5 for c6. then M ;) w/ no payments!

  • @luckeycraig Awesome show me 11 second time slips for your E46 M3! I've owned an E46 M3 as well and it was no where near the C5 Z. Period. Hang on lets examine stats:

    Z has:

    52 more hp

    123 more foot lbs torque

    weighs 300lbs less

    has .03 less drag

    Runs the quarter 1.4 seconds faster

    Is 1.2 seconds quicker to 60

    You're going to need a bigger boat. lol

  • the m3's mods cant be giving more then 330whp as a stock ls1 corvette already has about that much, as far as modding the cars goes the m3 is easier to mod a simple supercharger will give it over 500hp and the corvette supercharger some dont even reach 500hp and for a 3.2l engine its really good

    both cars are good but BMWs technology is way ahead chevy will ever be

    3.2 with 343 hp vs a 5.7 vs 350 hp to bad this isnt a euro m3

  • @dennisjepeder Honestly the Z06 is one of the easiest and cheapest proper sports cars to mod. The "simple supercharger" you reference is horrendously expensive for the M3. Due to the weight and aerodynamic difference, the M3 will need to be atleast 30 to 50 whp more than the Z06 to beat it. Headers, full exhaust, intake and cam on the Z. Thats the way to go. If you have done the important mods first which are brakes, tires, and suspension.

    On what planet would a a supercharged LS(ANYTHING) not make 500hp... really thats dumb.... A cam and bolt on C5-Z06 can easily make 430 RWHP. wow just wow..

  • I have an 04 e46 m3 white :) aftermarket parts : exhaust gruppe m, straight pipe ,intake, turner motosport pulleys ,shrenik cams, Active autowerk re flash ,10lbs jb racing alumium flywheel, stage 2 clutch ,toyo r888 all around ,carbon fiber hood ,ground control coil overs, gorund control lower control arms, 4.10 ring and pinion , cant rember the rest sorry but those are my mods and i smoked my buddies 03 z06 and he had exhaust otherwise stock but he was very surprised when i flew by him!!!

You are just like any other M3 fan boy who claims to own one that is heavily modded. 2) You arent going to change your M3 which is barely trapping 106mph into a car trapping 117mph with internals. Not going to happen today, tomorrow, or in 20 years. I can't wait for that stupid car to be phased out so people like you can stop claiming they own that is heavily modded and only have vids of them smoking weed. no one cares.

  • @psmTARDCORE Oh yes, because it's soooooooo hard to get all the parts he mentioned. Go to any E46 M3 message board and look at how many have very similiar set ups or even more expensive parts. Or better yet, go to a M3 meet and see some of the sick set ups. Some by normal stay at home dads, rich boys, college students, etc. Get a clue. I bought headers, I'm going to be getting a custom made exhaust, an ECU flash, and soon I'm going to go carbon fiber parts all around as well.

    Opps I missed the 385hp version. Makes me think the remote flash on the M3 is probably pretty crappy or the vette isn't stock. My S54 with ebay headers + tune + airbox (5bhp) and no other bolt on's makes 326whp. This cammed car is pulling like one with SIGNIFICANTLY less power with a lot more done to it

  • The z06 is a naturally aspirated all motor american muscle. With boost it doesnt respond best... Compared to other V8s like the Ford Gt turbo kits hit 1500-2000hp... Thats why its best to port polish stage 3 head/cam/thottlebody can put it near 600rwhp all motor. Its my 1/4 beast... the HPF M3 is gonna be my highway runner + track car 1025rwhp @ 3050lbs if i take the rear seats out. Right now its dropped to 3180lbs lightweight everything. Underground TT Gallardo next 1500 to all WHEELs.

    These are legit cars and runs... Look at the other videos.. You'll see that these are mild compared to other stuff

  • @gvahan I have an e46 m3, and c6 z06. im going to make the m3 a track car and get a HPF stage 4 1200bhp. there is now a widebody stock look to put 345 rear, and 285 front. Bigger then z06 tires... HPF website has videos of a supercharged z06 800rwhp getting beat by a stage 3 M3 850rwhp @ 3032lbs. Inline 6's with boost are no joke! I might get a head and cam stage 3 kit for my zo6 put me at 560rwhp. Still wont keep up with the M though! I was gonna buy a turbo supra but e46 M3 is the shit now!

  • m3 was stock. too quiet thats how a stock 340hp, would go against a stock 400hp. It would pull like that but, cam, headers and heads done, tuned with intake would put the M3 at 450+. Trust me i have an M3 and beat the c5 z06, and new c6s all day. I just have bolt ons. I had a C6 vette with all bolt ons right when it came out in 2005, first guy to custom chip it (lol) and custom longtubes, and i was beating old z06s, and was neck and neck with the c6 500hp zo6. I know my cars

  • @luckeycraig A modded N/A LS2 vette with a good tune will never keep up with a Z06 on stock internals. Internals I would believe but they are on a whole different level with just bolt ons an a tune. And the "LS1 Edit" program was used to tune the LS2, LS3, LS6, and LS7 since the engines are similar. Program hasn't changed since the C5 other than to be more user friendly but you don't take your car to shops who have issues with programs due to lack of computer skills.

  • a c5 z is just a mean machine. Nothing better for the money. Beating a z06 is a benchmark for most cars. And few achieve it.
