During the playthroughs I never really paid attention to what the Protoss quotes sounded like in english - I rather used to concentrate on the sound of the Khalani language itself.

@forsaac Although the sc1 music can be characterized as better, the actual themes for the races changed completely. in sc1, the protoss were more like "yarr, fight and live to protect aiur" but in sc2, just as they were in brood wars, they played a far more background role in the sc2 story.

terrans changed too: in sc1, they were beginning their conquest thru space, and in sc2 they sound a lot more settled.. kno wat i mean? but zerg is no excuse, sc1 music is far better in that aspect.
