  • The cake will be even lighter if you combine the flour with the egg yolk mixture BEFORE you add the egg whites. Also, just a bit of vanilla adds an extra touch :0)

  • I got a george foreman grill from the co-op for 11 quid and it drains all the fat out of the sausages when they cook in there. It does both sides at once. I got some suffolk farm sausages last week , i dont think they were halal that means spicy and these werent but they were £2.25 for eight and i tell you what - they were bloody lovely

  • no, if you don't separate them, the cake will be heavier. Separating the whites and beating it until it becomes "white and frothy" is like another ingredient you add to the mixture to make it lighter and creamier

  • sorry but u r wrong,in fact it will be a hassle when u whip the egg white n yolk together cos egg yolks have fat n fat is really really bad for WHIPPING,so u will save a lot of time whipping separately n u have both egg whites n yolk whipped UNIFORMLY too,thank u

  • cornstarch and cornflower are not the same thing.

    the recipe says "cornflower" but she keeps saying "cornstarch" ... so wich is it now ?? :-)

  • Hey you are supposed to use corn flour for this recipe. I used it and the cake turned out great.

  • Hey i tried out this recipe and it came out perfecttt!! i also added a teaspoon of baking powder cause i wanted a fluffy cake. and it turned out more than perfect!! My friends loved it!

  • No need baking powder. the eggs will make the cake rise.

  • i made this last night and it turned out really well but what i suggest is to do the egg whites first so then you dont have to worry about scrubbing the bowl completely clean in case it doesn't work

  • I tried this cake, it came out very good, but too much eggy smell. pls tell me why is it so.

  • yes, i had the same problem. except for that, this cake looked and tasted great!. Next time i am going to try it by using more than the mentioned amount of vanilla essence to mask the egg odor.

  • very good liked it u can before u bake the cake put a pan with water and put the pan with cake and then u can bake it after that the cake will have no cut or nothing on the cake and the cake will be smooth on the top looks great like this
