  • I'd like to see the last 10 minutes of the race, I remeber it being very exciting

  • @prettyshady I'd like to see the entire race. Sadly they don't put up a lot of women's races online.

  • @prettyshady Lol, it's women? XD

  • Marianne Vos makes a crucial mistake in the final 20 metres by looking back thinking she's outsprinted her rivals!

  • Voss should have left a little bit later.

  • very heavy gears

  • Phenomenal athletes! WoW!

  • Not that good. For one thing in a break away you help each other out eg. take turns at the front. Cooke did not do that, no respect for her, sorry.

  • You quite clearly never watched the race then moron.

  • Thanks for calling me a moron...refreshing. I think you will find I know what Im talking about, thank you. I watched 1 of the road races, her and two other ppl were in a break away. She did nothing while the other two did everything. It's an unwritten rule, you help each other out. BTW this video is not the Olympics.

  • She gave her fair share to the break away. It's highly unfair to say she didn't.

And there is no unwritten rule. You clearly do no cycling at all. If you want to help with the pace, you do. If you don't, you don't. Got that pal? Now go back to armchair sports.

  • Yeah she did give her all to get away from the peloton but then she sat on the wheel of the other two woman.

It is an unwritten rule. Watch the tours on eurosport. You will always get a break away, and they all share the work load, its sportsmanship more than anything.

You're very good at juding people..to bad you're rubbish at it. 1) I ride for an amateur team in my home town. 2) My uncle used to ride amateur and raced against Stephen Roche. 3) My dad used to ride for an amateur.

  • Of course they work in the Grand Tours. They have to, to get away. But watch when it comes down to 10km to go or so, cat and mouse all the way.

"Very good at judging people..to bad you're rubbish at it". That made alot of sense, well done. You didn't contradict yourself or anything.

You ride at a naf level, so you don't know competitive cycling.

  • You said I sit in an armchair playing video and you said I know nothing about cycling. Im saying you're judging me but you're wrong. Its a lot not alot ;).

    So you're a professional then?

'I hate: people who blow their own trumpets; arrogance; ignorance and people who make up facts.' Thats you my friend.

  • I'm not a professional no, but I'm in the British ODP (Olympic development programme). If you know what that is, you'll realisethe level I'm riding at. I'm not being arrogant, ignorant or making up facts. I'm also not blowing my own trumpet: I'm being realistic.

  • Guess? You're being developed by coaches to be a cyclist? Ur 26 years old bit old? 'N' ur were up at 4am, u must be a good athlete?

TBH I dont have time to focus my life on cycling as for the next 3 months education is my life, something you could maybe rethink 'realisethe'????

    U r pretty ignorant 'N' arrogant.

'N' if u dont mind me asking whats ur full name?

  • I made a typo by not pressing the space key and you find that an argument. That's one hell of a thin argument you've found "Ur"self.

  • Not an argument, its just a pretty big typo 'realisethe' come on. "Ur' what u mean?

I never doubted who u were just wanted to look u [lol], ur pretty good, miles better than me. Is that semi-pro racing then? If u dont mind me asking r u from that country?

  • You keep saying "ur". I actually cba arguing anymore. It's not semi-pro, no. I don't get paid. Just what I win. But all people on ODP gone on to be pro's. I'm from Isle of man.

  • Its easier to write ur. Im not arguing, u started on me. Its a good country. So u will be riding in 2012 since ur going 2 be a pro?

  • If you're trying to argue with an ODP rider about tactics you haven't got a chance of winning, they have the best coaches and done more riding at 18/19 than you've done in your life.

I know Paul Martin who is Neil Martin's brother, Dan Martin's uncle and a relative of Stephen (sort of) and I ride for an amateur team (anyone can), so do you want a medal.

Oh, and Tours are completely different to 1-day races, but they built up such a lead that they all sat back and began watching each other.

  • Did you not watch the race? She did enough work earlier on to keep it going. She'd be stupid to do loads of work with Vos (actually a better sprinter than Cooke) sitting on her wheel. She rode a smart race and probably doesn't care what you think.
