  • How many windings on the transformer? What gauge of wire?

  • 850 bifilar coil, 23 and 26 gauge magnet wire.

  • @steventurtle1963 wow! 850 turns??? That's a heck of a lot. Whats the diameter of the core?

  • 850 turns is what John Bedini recommends, although I have done it with less. I use the centre of printer spools, the type you get from till receipts, it's about 15 mm diameter and 75 mm long filled with the spokes of a bicycle wheel cut to length and super glued in to place.

  • @steventurtle1963 Cool. Have you tried the impedance matching charger with a trifilar coil?

  • No, please explain.

  • @steventurtle1963 There are three wires in the solid state impedance matching charger. There is a trigger wire, a 'pulse pickup' wire (to match the impedance) and then the charging coil. The pulse pickup wire allows the circuit to match the impedance of whatever you're charging so the circuit will automatically adjust to what you're charging. I know what the circuit looks like but I don't know exactly how many turns on the coil or the exact size of wire for it.

  • Sounds interesting, you'll have to Youtube circuit diagram.
