  • wow... gourmet food for 47 cents.

  • that was awesome

  • Oh yay! Go you guys (:

  • LOL! Your doing their job! Its nice to see your heart in the right place. This video was super cute.

  • thank you for saving my friends. :')

  • Nice person

  • While I admire you effforts, the water isn't dirty. Sadly, places like Walmart, Petsmart, other large retail store, get fish with BLUE water, that is a med they put in, usually with a sick fish, and even sadder to keep them alive (they hope) to sell it before it does.

  • @Debisawesome You can't see in the video, but the water was really dirty, we didn't mean it was dirty because it was blue, it has particles floating in it :(

  • good luck saving all those fishies ( ;.

  • Did you complain and report this? I see a lot of videos on Walmart not looking after its animals; if everyone complained it would be a different matter.

  • is she a blonde ?

  • god bless your soul for saving them, god bless you.....

  • Instead of doing that why not just buy one?

  • @AcidfartProductions we did :)

  • WALMART NEEDS A BETTER PLACE FOR FISH LIKE UMM NOT WALMART

  • stupid bitch...they will kill eachother....before you try to do any thing with a betta fish now what the fuck your doing.....BITCH

  • @15bbergren there was only one fish in there, soo I'm not sure what you mean by "they will kill each other"

  • but... u guys didnt even rescue it...

  • I guess I rescued a couple betas at Walmart today. They had them stacked so that the air holes were covered. Why vent to top if your just going to cover it?

  • that was nasty water and fish can die from unsanitary conditions. i think what you did was a good thing and this is comeing from the mouth of someone who has cared for fish for 17 years.

  • Hang on... in NZ in the pet shops it says bettas need to be in heated water?

  • noooooooooooooooo that water is full of clorox

  • good job ur a good person

  • I saw all the crap at the bottom of the cup. yer intentions were good. F all the other people.

  • Betta fish in Australian stores are generally in 2 - 3 foot planted tanks in their betta barricks so they don't harm one another and they have water flow though their tank and a filter.

  • I talked to the people at my Walmart about dirty water and they said change the water 2 times a week.

They said customers feed them and make there water gross and that they are the only live fish at my Walmart so they can take care of them if people would just leave them alone...

  • i just got my beta from wal- mart. it looked so sad. i can't believe wal- mart would keep so many beta fish and not even care for them. mine looked like it hadn't swam a lot and ate anything. why can't they just sell them in pet stores? some in the back of the shelves were dead and motionless. wal-mart made me very angry.

  • use ur hand u chick. Nice save job btw

  • thats sweet..

  • I heard betta's house well with Oscars, Red Tail Catfish, and Gar. You guys should buy all the bettas then donate them to a person with such fish

  • @Spyder001oUSAo No, if you buy it then it only encourages Walmart to stock up more fish.

  • @Spyder001oUSAo All those fish you just listed would eat bettas quite readily.

  • The betta cups in Wal Mart are sad :(

  • I love it when hot chicks try to save lil fishies, its sooo cute :)

  • stupid, the water's not dirty. the color comes from chemicals that are used the keep the water in the bowl safe for the fish to be in since there is no water flow in a little jar. plus betta fish have two respiratory systems and when there is a low air rate in the water, can breath the air through lungs like ours.

  • @hockeydude2 Actually, we're not idiots, so thank you for that first of all. Secondly, there was actually a lot of stuff floating around in the water, we didn't mean it was dirty because of the water. It was brown and actually dirty at the bottom.

  • @courtneymac007 and I have seen that plenty of times.they don't bother changing water,I came across an empty fish container, some jerk had dumped a smaller Betta in with a larger one yes, the smaller was chewed up pretty bad.

  • @hockeydude2 The water is dirty. The act of keeping Beta Fish in such a small container is animal abuse pure and simple. Beta fish do not have lungs like ours. Just because a fish is alive does not mean it's healthy or happy. Just because a person has a computer and knows how to type doesn't mean they should comment on Youtube and call people names. I have no clue how you have 2 thumbs.

  • @dmeyer2626 Beta fish can take in air from the surface and are perfectly fine in those cups. Yeah, a life in a cup isn't ideal, but they are sold and put in bigger tanks to live out the rest of their lives.

  • @dmeyer2626 Actually, Bettas do have a secondary breathing mechanism. It's called a labyrinth organ, which allows fish of this sub-order to breathe oxygen in oxygen deprived waters. If you look at where this fishes natural habitat is, they reside in small, murky shallow ponds with very low oxygenated water.

  • hope you dechlorinated the water

  • Not knowing what you are doing is not saving a fish. Want to save a fish from walmart? DONT BUY FROM THEM. Not buying will cause them not to keep replacing them with the purchase ones.

  • @EliteDestruction007 Ain't that pretty common sense?

But every girl as she grows up has to do something seemingly caring but ultimately pointless.

  • hey my dad had a arrowana and he asked my sister to get feeder fish she got them at wal-mart and the next day the arrowana was dead hmmm? not the arrowana was also 3 years old when we bought it for $75 and then it was 7 when it died

  • please dont buy ANY fish their, even if youre trying to save them! it just supports the trade! complain instead!

  • $0.47 for a betta fish???

  • i cant belive that walmart actually can sell fish when they dont take care of them! here in sweden, the minimun space for a betta is around 1 liter, and in those cups on walmart theres not even one liter! i hate that f***ing place! im sooo glad i live in sweden where people really cares for their animals!'

  • i was at walmart today and i took the lid off one just to see how cold the water was...you couldnt put ice in it to make it colder. it was also quite dirty. i said id work at walmart just to take care of the fish. this lady walking by looked at me like i was both caring and crazy.

  • walmart has fish?

  • in stead of that you could just buy the fish and out it in a good size tank

  • @raidendeath123 i guess spending 100$ on a tank is cheaper than changing the water

  • i got a fish there once and it died the next day :

  • id save her lol

  • Nicely done there really should be more people like you out there that care enough to help.

  • The water in the bowls are blue becase they put all the bettas near each other but they can see each other so they put blue stuff in the water so they dont see each other and stress each other out

  • @blackpeacock3159 Really? I don't think so, because every beta at Petco (a much better place to buy fish) doesn't have their water turned blue. They leave it clear and they aren't stressed out or trying to maul each other.

  • The water in the bowls are blue becase they put all the bettas near each other but they can see each other so they put blue stuff in the water so they dont see each other and stress eack other out

  • I SAVED A FISH. IM A GOOD PERSON

  • @philkiksbeep cool

  • I got my king betta from a local pet food shop his lil tank isnt big enough but its 10x bigger than wat they had him in...smaller than the containers in this vid :/ soon he will go to a 10 gallon :o)

  • its methylene blue

  • Thank you for caring..Walmart should stick to clothes, tools, and whatever else non living that they sell.

  • Thank you for trying to help them out. Walmart is a hellhole for fish and frogs. I would never support them by purchasing anything there (haven't set foot in a Walmart in years!) I have, however, at Petco, asked if I can have sick fish for free so I can take them home, medicate them, and nurse them back to health! :)

  • Buy the supplies there, not the acctual fish.

  • @CpWiser10 I don't even buy supplies because that helps the heads get their money that they don't use to pay their employees with.

  • great jod that is so nice

  • you should have saved them by buying the fish or just using their products to clean the water.

  • awwww your such a nice person

  • Taking the fish out so suddenly probably caused it more harm than just leaving it.Fish can die of stress very easilly

  • @goldfishguide but then again the fish was in a a tiny cup and it wudnt do good it fins would rot

  • holy crap...did she just put two Beta's in the same bowl?

  • @Badwhiskey6 Nope, it was by itself

  • its ok if you put a feamale and male together if there the same sex they will kill each other

  • @gael3810 Actually no its not ... they'll still attack eachother

  • why don't you get a job there so you can take care of them

  • You're hott and kind :) Marry me? haha

  • The blue water is a result of them adding a pill called a "bag buddy" or something similar to the water to ease stress, remove chlorine and ammonia, and add oxygen. It is not Ick medicine.

  • @jojohehelol76 Why would you say "not to be rude" and say that, if you knew there wasn't another one? I think everyone knows not to put them together.

  • what a second... I have nothing against her motives, but why did she say, "I don't know if I'm gonna get pulled over for this." when shes in a store, and NOT IN A CAR

  • @Theambassador109 Inside joke...

  • You go girl!!! I fed the the ones at our local Wal Mart, yesterday, their conditions are pathetic!

  • You go girl!!! I fed the the ones at our local WalMart, yesterday, their conditions are pathetic!

  • is there a reason to why the water in the fish-cups is clear blue? :P

  • @typalexandra

They people at the fish vendors place add ridiculous amounts of ick medicine to the water before shipping it.

  • @WMackbd It is actually Wal-Mart, I called they yesterday and they told me that they can use tap water without any treatment.

  • @nextstep333

You apparently spoke to someone who had limited experience in that area of the store. Walmart has automatic de-chlorinating devices for their machines (or atleast they do where I'm from)

If you don't receive fish shipments for your local walmart or file the invoices then maybe you shouldn't pass out your theories as if they are truth. You're trying to bullshit me with the first part of your comment.

  • is there a reason to why the water in the fish-cups is clear blue? :P

  • Walmart sells live stock? That is like foot locker selling milk and bread... : /

  • That water instant dirty, that the way the water is when it's new to a store it goes transparent in a week or so. They need that blue water those first day..........=\

  • Did you know fish stores in england respect bettas .the pet store I got mine from keeps theirs in 5 gal tanks along with a plant and little tetras

  • my betta is in a 55gallon tank :)

  • could you rescue me next? i'm swimming in a sea of loneliness...

  • That girl has a kind soul saving that fish and it's just a FISH but a pretty fish why was the water blue?

  • where is the fish ill in walmart?

  • that blonde girl is so hot omg ;)

  • fabulous job making the world a better place one fish at a time

  • JUST BUY THE FISH?

  • Your fabulous on saving that fish!!

  • Your awsome

  • You rock

  • You rock!

  • You go girl!

  • You go girl!!!!!!

  • the water is suppose to be like that its like that at petco and petsmart well at least u helped something be stressed out

  • what r u doing

    ur breaking the law

But u help save a fish

  • wow this is awesome, all us betta lovers should do this

  • FINALLY! Someone who cares about betta fish like they should

  • You don't have to worry about anyone coming - it's Walmart ;)

  • your hot, wana go save bettas together?

    and fuck!!!

  • why do people think that a water container HAS to have the fish in their. btw the water is blue because they put chemicals in it so the fish relax and dont get nervous and die while there moving them so now you know why that fish was jumpy, cuz the water he was in wasnt blue

  • pour him in to the net =]

  • god too many people read into things so deeply! u were helping the fish well done!

  • ya i went in the other day in fed the plecos MY OWN ALGAE WAFERS thats how nice i am. and i could tell they never get algae becuase there was like 20 on one freaking wafer

  • it was a lovely idea guys but the fact that the water was blue means there was medicine in his cup :( so that means he was sick and needed the medicine =\ still i commend you on trying to help the little guy , im glad to see people who care about those little fishies:) those tiny cups are just appalling...

  • What you should have done is grab the net and dump the dirt water in the sink while holding the net so when the fish falls into the net you can safely and not harm him putting him in the new water.

  • 1. Why was the water blue?

    2. Do you realize you could kill the fish by switching environments like that on him? You don't know what's in that other container, or do you? You could kill that fish by introducing it to a different pH and/or untreated water!

  • @sspamer its water conditioner

  • did u guys get caught?

  • water isnt diry b/c its blue....its meant to be like that

  • @FrankECao Well the water was actually dirty, it had stuff floating in the water, that's what we meant by dirty.

  • @courtneymac007 thank you for saving fishy!

  • @courtneymac007 You go girl!!! I fed the the ones at our local Wal Mart, yesterday. Their conditions are pathetic!!!

  • @courtneymac007 well... maybe the water was dirty with stuff floating in the water, but you shouldn't have done that to save the fish.. cus maybe the water was blue because it was the medicine. When a Betta get fongus and stuff in their bodies a blue medicine is required ... sorry for my bad english :D

  • @FrankECao wow really um just cuz its blue doesnt mean it cant be dirty have you ever seen those disgusting cups and do you know how offten they change the water not alot.

  • I LOVE U GIRLS. WELLDONE. I DO THAT TOO LOL. POOR FISHY. U BOTH HAVE A GOOD HAERT XXX

  • I too tried to rescue a betta from wal mart, but they had none and I was like "well thats good, because you guys take horrible care of them anyways" so i got mine from petsbarn but i got it because it had ich...the store lady was like "are you sure, i mean we are just gonna get rid of it!" and i was like WTF, so i took it FOR FREE! and healed it up, today was his 1st birthday and he is doing great!

  • @DavidCookLOVER08 wow that was really nice of you to take in a sick fish i know a petco that has a whole tank of black moor fish with ich

  • That walmart on 2818 is nasty! They just rebuilt it but I won't go in there. I'm sure the fish are just as bad now as when you did this. We would bust the food open and feed the fish in the tanks there they are always starving!

  • Evil Empire SHOULD NOT be allowed to sell fish.

  • I REPECT U. WELLDONE XX NICE PEOPLE. LOOL I DO THE SAME AND DONT CARE IF I GET CAUGHT. IVE BEEN KICKED OUT OF STORES LOADS HEHEHE

  • I have over 100 bettas. Care to do my water changes too? Lol.

  • Do people normally just go in and take fish? lol

  • Good for you! Nice to see someone actually cares for the fish being sold at Wal-Mart.

Everyone... there is clearly no betta fish in that other container. Look through some comments before you post something. Better yet, pay attention to the video.

  • u guys are good ppl rescuing fish and taking risk

  • I think I speak for many of us when i say. You random tool posters screaming don't put two together. why don't you read comments or at least finish watching the video. They didn't put two together. Don't assume because of hair color they don't know what they are doing. She showed us the clean water that she was going to put the fish in. she rescued one. thats more then most people would do!!!

If anything that's one more life.

  • LOL!!!!! `That blue water is not dirty, its actually cleaner than the clear water........its just a more conditioned water for betta fish. (like bottled water for us) U just took of huge risk of getting caught by a worker at wal-mart.

  • Good for you for giving the fish some fresh clean water! I saved my betta from Walmart. I took the saddest looking one and brought him home with me and put him in a 5 gallon tank. He is beautiful now and happy :)

  • awesome blondes gone wild

  • stephanie is hott!

  • OMG rock on u saved the fish i've done that before but it was in petsmart and my mom worked there at the time so I didn't get thrown out

  • umm im pretty sure water doesn't get moldy

  • I love you xD <3 your a life saver

  • omg uys look closer she put them in separate containers:P:)

  • Im curious, why do ppl say walmart treats betta bad? dont they feed it everyday? ive never rlly went to walmart that much or anything so yeah >.>' lol, maybe someone should make a facebook page or something to make walmart stop selling betta's! XD

  • it was a female betta they wouldent have even gothen in a fight if there would have been another in that one xD

  • you put another fish with a betta?

    ugh blondes..

  • @Liicon Nope, it was in a container by itself actually....

  • @courtneymac007 YOU GO GIRL! I'VE DONE THE EXACT SAME THING!! I ALWAYS PITCH A FIT ABOUT THE BETA CONDITIONS. ROCK ON!

  • @Liicon You think all blondes are stupid?

    Ugh idiots...

  • walmart shouldnt sell fish or any type of animal.

  • Thanks so much for saving the poor fish! Walmart is a horrible place to buy your bettas from.

  • this is what inspired me to get a betta in the first place and save it :) thanks sooo much

  • good for you saving those fish!!!!!

  • You must be tired of repeating that there wasn't another fish in the other container :/ why can't people read comments before posting theirs? Anyway, what you did was great :) thank you for that. Btw I love your hair <3

  • Wow, I know it's so tempting to buy an animal to save it from abuse, but all you are doing is making them restock their fish and get more profit. You'd be better off leaving the poor thing to die. Good job, though!

  • good job!............your H O T

  • your not suposed to put them in the same tanke they will kill eachother

  • We actually didn't put it in with another one, I know that they would kill each other, it was an empty bowl

  • @dislexickid There wasn't another fish in the other container. I know they you're not supposed to put them together.

  • no they dont

not if they have been bred

  • @gorillaKBC hey was wondering how big do bettas get??? and how does a person grow them that big???Does a person need a longer tank?????

  • @motherwolfe66 the cups only make them look bigger. theres king bettas where the body is bigger than the fins. they look like huge females. i think 2-3 inches is the biggest. dont hav a ruler so im not sure about the 3 inches...

  • stephanie is sexy lol

  • all you got to do is call your county animal protection services and they will go out and check em and make them correct the problem and fine them i know i do it to walmart in my home town...also get some kids to start screaming WALMART IS KILLING THE FISHES AND WATCH THE MANAGER DO SOMETHING LOL

  • you never put bettas together!!

  • @striker1456 We didn't. There wasn't another fish in there.

  • @courtneymac007

Where was the other fish at?

  • @striker1456 unless they are females cause they dont fight

  • @SuperQwerty333 Females do fight unless they are in a sorority with 4 or more females and in a large enough tank with plenty of foliage and food.

  • @striker1456 if the two fish had been females, you can do it no problem. But there wasn't another fish in the other cup

  • Way to go Stephanie for trying to do the right thing. The way betta's are cared for by that place makes me FU#^%$% sick and the only thing I would have done different was being very vocal about it to those retards and told them about it and done the deed in front of them ! Walmart has no business selling fish what-so-ever! Good for you !
